Man This Driver is crazy good. I tried out my friends, i thought that 11.5 would be to high of a loft for me but it turned out to be just right. I don't have to swing so hard to get real good results out of this club and like what every one else likes it has that real nice Ping sound every time you hit the club. The best thing about this club is that my miss hits werent that bad. This is definently a club for anyon especially and the price and its performance

What a cannon this thing is. I prefer a high fade, but too many of the big drivers have a 1 or 2 degree closed face to combat that type of ball flight. The G2 sets up perfectly square and enables you to work the ball either way. I have no trouble getting a nice high fade out of this beast. And like everyone else is saying - this thing is lethally long. Be sure to get the correct shaft. I tried a few different types (I have a little club making shop myself) and I tried the stock TFC (pretty nice) and a Fuji (not a good fit for this) and then I put in an Aldila NV65. It was a great match. Aldila used to make the worst shafts in golf, but have a come a long way over the past 10 years. The NV S-flex is still typical Aldila (where it plays a half flex weaker), but that seems to work perfectly in the G2, at least for me. Also, put away your ego and get the correct loft. I play the 11.5 and it produces a great trajectory, with almost no spin. More folks should be playing higher lofted drivers (you ever notice all of the 7,8 and 9 degree ones littering Ebay?) But that's a debate for another day. This is by far the best bang for the buck you can find in today's market of overhyped and overpriced drivers.

This driver is great! I had the titleist 983K and i liked it but i never seemed to hit it really solid. Only about 1 out of 5 were solid. But i just got a ping G2 and hit almost every one solid! Like 4 out of 5 are perfectly solid and i am more accurate with it too! Its good for all handicaps because it is very forgiving and easy to hit! VERY GOOD driver!

I had the world's worst driver. When I tried to trade it in at Golf Galaxy they didn't even have it listed in their book. I decided to try to "buy a better game" and purchased the Ping G2 based on reviews that placed it #2 behind the R7, and after swinging it at Golf Galaxy. It was everything it was promised to be. I have always had a very impressive slice and now it's gone. Even mis-hits are 200 yards and "findable". I can't recommend this club highly enough. I guess to sum up I would say that if I lost my new G2 I would immediately go out and buy another one.

I have struggled with my driver (983k) for the past two years. This week I purchased a Ping G2. I tested the stock stiff shaft in the 10 degree head. The ball launched way to high. But it was easy to hit. I went to the Ping web site and put my information in to the webfit. I carry the driver about 250 in the air. It recommended the 8.5 with the NV 65 shaft stiff. I thought that I don't swing hard enough for the 8.5 but I tested the club anyway. It goes dead straight. Honest. I don't feel that it goes any further than my 983 but for me it is so much easier to hit. I have played the 983k, Callaway Fusion,Taylormade 580,Smt455. In 33 years of playing golf I have never had a driver that was so easy for me to hit straight. In the last 27 holes I have only missed one fairway.

before i used this, i teed off with a 3 wood. (b/c i kept slicing my driver) NOW, a swing tweak and this driver... i try and pull out driver at every opportunity. Its the best thing i have bought myself.... now, 250-300 yard drives are common for me. (3 wood 220-260 yds, and even then not all the time)

whoa. This Driver is absolutely the longest driver I have ever hit. It has a cool sound to it also. It is not quite as forgiving as the Titleist 905T or TalyorMade R7, but it is longer. So much I would swear it is illegal. The only thing I did not like was the strange emblem on top of the driver to line up with. I like the shape and it when it is struck solid, like i said, it's gone.. I do think it is hilarious all the reviews where people say they average over 300 yards...the fact is there are only 9 tour players on entire PGA tour that average over 300 yards..come on. --> http://www.pgatour.com/stats/leaders/r/2005/101

This driver is simply the best driver I have hit. I played with it today for the first time and hit 10-13 fairways. My shortest drive which was a pop up was 240, everything else was 265-295... easy... I am not joking easy easy club to hit. Feels great, relatively inexpensive. I was gonna go with the new fusionht, but no need. I shoot right around 80(short game needs work) and this club has raised my confidence level. I hit the ball relatively straight with a slight fade. Not with the G2.. straight.. straight straight!! Hit it!! Get the right shaft put in for you I use a Grafalloy Blue 65r(I love regular shafts... so many don't, I don't know why) Anyhow, try all of them an I feel the Ping G2 will be at the top of the list.
