recently bought set of mp33 irons, golf pride grips, rifle 6.5 shafts for £170 second hand off ebay. apart from being the sexiest club ever produced these sticks really are easy to use and genuine.anyone who is daunted at the prospect of blades should try them out. the feedback you receive when hitting these make them an ideal game improvement club as well. if you do decide to buy, try and purchase the 2-pw as i did. paid £170 and sold the rare 2 iron for £55 on ebay

Absolutely amazing! I bought this club after an intensive club demo at Golfsmith using the launch monitor. Tried Taylormade, Callaway, Cleveland, Cobra F, Sumo, Sumo2 and the original Sasquatch. According to the launch monitor I was easily 40% more accurate with the Nike clubs. I tossed out the rest and tried the 3 Nike clubs. I have to agree with another reviewer here that while the Sumo and Sumo2 were marginally more accurate they were not $100 and $200 better. The Sumo2 makes the loudest clack of any driver I have ever seen used. It was like an alluminum bat at a batting cage. No way you can get used to that noise.
I took my $199 Sasquatch to the driving range and I destroyed the center of the would-be fairway. I have never hit that many shots in play at that range in my life. I had several streaks of would-be fairway shots. A streak of 7 got me thinking I could hit 10. I ended up with 17 shots in a row that I would consider in the fairway. I am still in awe! I ended my session with 15 in a row and sliced the hell out of my last ball while trying to give it 100%. I stayed at about 90% which for me is in the 95 to 105MPH range. I am taking Friday off to get in a pre-Saturday round with this sucker. Best $200 I ever spent!!!

Effortless driver. the more you slow down the swing speed, the longer and straighter you will get. If you try to swing it fast, it will give you a nice banana curve. Recommend for beginner

Model Reviewed: Sumo2 and Sumo

Nike sumo and sumo2. I know this isnt in the right section but these drivers arent out yet and i felt that since i had a chance to hit them before most that i would review them now before they are readily available so others will know what to expect. How did i get these clubs before you? I work at a golf store and our Nike rep brought in our demos today even though they dont go on sale until Feb 3. Fist i will review the regular sumo. Its ALLOT like the SQ. It is a little better sounding and they put a yellow stripe down the mitsu shaft but if your expecting something new here its just the same ol SQ with a slightly new look and sound better VERY similar performance as the last SQ. Now onto the club everyone has been waiting for ... the Sumo2. Why do they call it the Sumo2? Because its a squared Sumo get it? At any rate this is a VERY odd looking club and even though Nike rounds off the paint in the "power bar" it still looks very odd and will turn most golfers off immediately as we all know that confidence is a huge factor when it comes to making a good swing with a new club. Another thing i noticed and the Nike rep denied it but all 10 of us working today noticed it immediately and that is the closed face on this club. If i had to guess i would say it looks 2-4 degrees closed. The first and worst thing about this club is the god awful ear ringing clack it makes. I have heard loud drivers before but this one takes the cake. The first time i heard it go off i thought it was cracked or broken and i doubt few could ever get use to the head splitting chime this thing makes when you smack it. Aside from that its pretty ordinary and for everyone who hit the club today in the simulator it played about 10 yards shorter than the regular sumo that we were also swinging today. So why make a square head driver then? Well Nike prints the M.O.I. right on the club head and i guess they are proud of this but none of us noticed this club playing any straighter than any other traditional driver so i would have to say, nice try but this is certainly not the future of club shape in my humble opinion (or at least not the distant future i hope).
My advice is if youve already hit every other driver out there and none of them work for you then give this one a try but if your hoping for some square headed freak to turn your long game around, well .... best of luck to you.

Callaway has their ft-i coming out 2 weeks after nike's sumo goes on sale and i expect to have a demo soon and will let you know if my findings are any different but for now i have to say that these square heads are just odd looking excuses to try and trick the average hacker into thinking they can find more faiways by buying these ugly clubs and i expect that this year will be both the beginning and end of the square head experiment. That is of course assumming that callaway doesnt play radically different than the Nike that is.

Model Reviewed: Sasquatch 460

I tried the SQ460 9.5 (R) out on a launch monitor at my local golf store after cracking the head of my previous driver. My driver swing speed is about 88-95mph. Straight of, the SQ had a great feel with a boring parabolic ball flight. After 4 months of playing with the SQ, my average drives felt longer by 20yds, probably attributed to a better ball flight. Eventhough I had better ball strikes and found more fairways, I switched the Diamana shaft to an Accuflex Evolution Lite at my club fitter. The EvoLite R flex improved the feel and smoothness of the club during the swing. The SQ460 is a predictable club to have in your bag. It may not be the easiest club to work the shot but, in terms of ease of use, it scores high. Just one point, tee the ball up higher than normal and launch the ball on the upswing and this ball goes long.

GREAT DRIVER!!!...When I first tried the club on the range, I had a hard time controlling it with the club speed in which I was using and almost gave up on it...but I figured out quickly that I needed to "gear it down" (swing slower) in order to produce the results that I wanted. The club produces straight shots...hits it
long..REALLY long(even with a slower controlled swing) and looks GREAT!

If you already possess a "quality" swing, hitting "bombs" down the middle of the fairway with "ease" will become a very common scenario for you.

Con: I cannot produce a draw (my usual ball flight) to save my life. A straight to a slight fade is what I get. Slight dogleg left's are hard to swallow, but I deal with it.

I highly recommend this club for those who want to produce more distance and a straighter ball flight.

In closing.....I can live with the gaudy clubhead cover...it doesn't hit the ball (laughing).

Model Reviewed: Nike SQ 460 driver

I bought the 10.5 with the stock stiff shaft. Hands down, the easiest club to hit. I demo'd the R7, the G5, and two different Calloways. The G5 was a little longer than the Nike, but the Nike makes up for it in its ability to easily hit the fairway. Very forgiving, but hard to work the ball right to left. Large clubhead is not distracting, but inspires confidence. Easy to square at address. This driver will improve the game of any high handicapper.
