Nike SQ 460cc Drivers

DESCRIPTION

The SasQuatch (SQ) 460 Driver. The SQ 460 features a distinctive yellow sole design and club head design with what company officials call the "ideal ratio" between the width of the club face and the depth of the club head.

Firstly I do not own a set of these as yet. But I will be ordering soon. Tried Mizuno, Srixon W506,Taylor-Made R7, and Cleveland at driving-range in terrible cold winter conditions. The Nike SQ was by far the most comfortable, easy to swing driver I have ever held. I hit reasonably straight anyway but occasionally pull left, with this club it made it easy to repeat a good swing, limiting going left. I can't wait for better playing conditions :))

most easy to hit driver, I have used BB and R5 and always find it difficult to be "discipline" in using driver. got it on Friday, did 2 practice rounds at the driving range and hit it on every fairway on Sunday morning. A 10.5 regular Diamma shaft.

I love this driver just bought it today and tried it out on the course for the first time this season.I shot a 43 and hit everyfairway with this driver.I averaged about 310yds.The feel is great and mis hits are far.I have 8.5 loft with Aldila NV shaft 65 grams at stiff flex.I broke the Adams rpm 460 dual and the taylormade r7, hopefully this will be good.

Customer Service

I have not used nike's customerservice besides emailing them in order to find out if i get a certain loft.

I just got one of these drivers and all I can say is wow. I went to the local golf shop and hit about every driver on the simulater. The pro there was trying to keep me away from the Nike. He said the feel wasnt as good as the other drivers he had me hit. Before I hit the Nike SQ I hit all the Callaway drivers, Clevand Launcher, Taylor Made R7, and the Ping G5. I was just about to get the Callaway 460 untell I asked to give the Nike a shot. The first thing I noticed about it is that it has a weird shape to it. At adress the club head lines up well. The club is very light. I was hitting the ball a good 280-290, longer then everything else I hit. I noticed even with a miss hit it went down the middle, not as long but still out of trouble, which I like because I can spray the ball sometimes. The Nike also has a very good sound when you hit the ball solid. Over all I think this is one of the best drivers out there, if not the best. Dont let people turn you away from it.

Model Reviewed: Nike SasQuatch 9.5* 460 w/ UST IROD 65g Stiff Flex

From the start, I went after the UST IROD 65g to get a stiffer torque rating than the SasQuatch 460 Tour model, but also kept it @ 65g like the Regular Joe SQ instead of the 83g shaft that the Tour model has. This shaft is the bomb for this clubhead the way I swing it ! Like a lot of others/everyone else, the head doesn't allow the golfer to work the ball, but this club is very forgiving and hits them long and straight, even on mis-hits anywhere on the face as long as you're putting the muscle into the swing. With the 460 cc head, teeing it up in the right spot is still important, @ least for me it is. Is it ugly ? Not really any more or less than anything else out there. My main driver, a 9.5* Titleist 983K isn't going anywhere as my driver of choice, but this is a nice driver to switch in and out of your bag depending upon the course you play. This club is great for higher handicappers, you really can groove a swing and then as you get better, you can drop the head size to a smaller cc driver to work the ball. Funny, after hitting these bigger heads for a few years, your confidence in your swing is there more than ever. I picked up my mid 1990's Hurricane Driver and can hit that old steel shafted club straight and in the sweet spot with more regularity than I ever could. BTW, that head is probably around 200 cc or so. The looks I got today @ the range, a retro-old school driver being hit straighter and longer than most of today's newer technology. But the Nike SQ makes it a whole lot easier. Good club, Nike has a solid driver here.

This driver hits amazingly nice. It's designed for forgiveness, and you'll definetly hit 'em farther. I don't own one, but I hit it in golf galaxy for about 2 hours the first day it came out, and compared to the cleveland 460 and cobra comp. The sasquatch smoked both of them. The driver feels good in every way, but its yellow (a.k.a. ugly) so i didn't want it. But if you like yellow and long drives- go for it!

Model Reviewed: Nike Sasquatch 460 Driver 10.5 Reg Flex Diamana Shaft

Played my first round with my new driver today. All I can say is WOW. I'm a senior golfer and my driver prior to this was the G2 11.5 with the soft regular shaft. I hit it fairly well. About 250 when I hit it square. I have a low 80mph swing speed. The Sasquatch is 3/4" shorter than the G2 giving me what I felt was better control with no loss in distance. This club is probably 20-30 yards longer that my old G2. I hit the Sasquatch really well all day but on the 17th hole I hit a drive BACK INTO THE WIND 288 yards!!! Been a long time since I've been able to two putt a par 5 for a birdie. This sucker is long and straight. Even when I hit it on the toe it was going as far as my G2 that I hit on the screws. No matter what I thought of this clubs looks before, I now know it is BEAUTIFUL. Gonna be in my bag for awhile.

Model Reviewed: Nike SQ Sasquatch 460 8.5/V2 X

(Nike SQ-8.5-UST V2 Pro. X) I will start out with this by agreeing with most here in that the stock shaft is about 1/2 flex soft. It has a soft tip, and creates upshoots. I switched, or rather kept my current shaft for the Nike. My old driver was a Cleveland Launcher 460, 8.5, with the V2 Proforce shaft from UST in X. With this SQ head, this shaft works wonders. Low torque, and designed for 460cc heads, on the Nike I can just swing with complete confidence. That is the best thing about this Nike. You have to really chop one to miss the fairway. But, I was longer with the Launcher. Maybe a club on best shots. But my misses are no longer way out in the crap. So in essence, the SQ is actually longer becuase you get "usable" distance from hits that are just off. At this point, I think this club is the real deal. I havent tee'd off with a 3wood for my last 2 rounds. THAT is usable distance, not having to play it safe. I am very, very happy with the SQ. Shooting 80, 82 the first 2 times I touched this driver excites me.

Model Reviewed: Nike SQ 460

The SQ460 is a great driver. Forgiving (every golfer needs that), while the additional distance is not phenomenal but visible. What is evident is that the ball still carries the distance even if you hit it towards the toe (which I do being a weekend golfer). What is also good about it is the "soft" forged feel you get when you make contact with the ball (not sure if Nexti is forged). On each drive, you feel as though you just crushed it, like hitting a tennis shot on the sweet spot. The shaft is also good as well ... thought I needed to change it as I typically liked a certain Fujukura model on all my drivers, but the trajectory, feel, distance and flight is workng fine for me. Perhaps later when I start tweaking I may switch to another shaft. My flight mate who was playing with me, sliced his drive with his R7 ht and then decided to play my Sq on his next shot out of frustration, which he promptly sliced again (his swing); but what he discovered when he went to his ball in the right rough was that the shot by the SQ was about 10 yards longer than his R7. His remark ... even on bad miss-hits the SQ hits it further. One final comment, the price of the club is correctly positioned. Almost USD100 below the rest of the similiar competitors. Making it not cheap but better value.
