Nike Sasquatch Tour 460
Ladies, this is the driver for you. I bought the Lucky 13 model and it is the perfect trajectory for me. I haven't been playing that long but I have power and determination. When I play with other ladies new to golf, my drives average 15-20 yards longer than theirs. A lot has to do with the Sasquatch Lucky 13. I like the fact that the shaft is a little shorter and firmer than other higher lofted drivers. I had to get used to the loud hollow sound that the head makes when striking the ball but now I like it. I like the way the club looks also. It's easy to square up at address. This is the easiest driver to hit, so if you are having difficulty with a driver or you just want to drive further then I suggest you try this club. They also make a sweet 16 that has a 16 degree loft, but I would only get that if you have a really slow swing speed, like 70 or less. My swing speed is 80.
Customer Service I contacted Nike before I bought the club asking which loft they recommended and they were very up front in saying that I needed to go to the pro shop or demo days and get fitted. TaylorMade gave me driver specifications and recommendations, but hey, at least Nike was honest. Similar Products Used: Ping G2 11.5, Callaway Big Bertha HT 464, TaylorMade R5 W |

Nike Sasquatch Driver
I originally bought the 9.5 degrees thinking to replace my Ignite 9.5 degrees. For the 1st 2 weeks, I struggled to hit well with Sasquatch. I lost distance and it tends to hook and fade compared to my Ignite... I almost wanted to sell it and post a negative review here. But then... I decided to try the 10.5 degrees Sasquatch. I was glad that I did gave it another chance! Somehow, the 10.5 felt better. I did not gain any yards compared to my Ignite, infact, Ignite may still be longer. But the accuracy went up (compared to Ignite). I now have more drives that lands on fairways than ever. My avg swing speed for driver is 95 MPH, maxed at 103 MPH. I could never reach Par 5, 585 yards in 2 shots. Therefore, losing 10 yards with my new Sasquatch compared to old Ignite and have more chances to hit fairways seems to be a great trade off. At first, I thought the Sasquatch was over rated. But after a few weeks of adjusting and experimenting... I have to say technology does make most bad players look good... Week 1 with my 9.5 Sasquatch, everyone at the driving range kept looking at me. I was hitting balls anywhere but straight. They were probably thinking... #1 He must be an amature. Or, #2 The new driver must be over rated, and its a Nike... Week 3 with my 10.5 Sasquatch, everyone at the driving range kept looking at me. They were probably thinking... #1 He must be really good, 90% of the shots are long and straight. Or, #2 It must be the driver, maybe I should have enough guts to go up to him to ask if I can hit a few with it. It is the best driver out there at the moment. Nike SasQuatch Tour 460
I bought the Nike SasQuatch Tour 460 from Golfsmith 2 months ago and it finally came last week. It is the 9.5 degree model with the ProLaunch stiff flex shaft. My swing speed is around 115 and because my tempo is not jerky I felt the low torque, soft tip ProLaunch would give me the carry I wanted. Although the SasQuatch has won at least twice (Woods and Campbell) this winter on tour, I found out that Nike makes at least 4 head version of the SasQuatch, some of which will never be released retail. Nonetheless I love the Pro Combo, my first Nike clubs, and decided to give the SasQuatch a shot this year. The slightly more compact Tour is beautifully finished. Rich black gloss paint with the silver power bow around the back. No alignment aid is a classy touch. It is easy to see where the sweet spot is on the face with the club behind the ball. At address it was not at all distracting. No BS this is a nice looking driver. You don't see the yellow bottom at address. No hook face here. Great feel, balance, and responsiveness. The face height is just right. You don't need 5 inch tees to launch this baby. Hits on the sweet spot rocket with a beautiful trajectory; no balooning. Very generous sweet spot and it is pleasingly workable. I could turn this 460 over with a draw, which is my favorite shot, and that was something I could not do with my G2. But there is no draw bias. Anyone can play with this driver, but it is about $50.00 more expensive than the regular version. One complaint is the headcover. It is a problem getting it back on. But this review is about the club and not the headcover. If Nike workers had to put the cover on the driver before shipping, it would have been redesigned before release because of cost-effectiveness. I am very pleased with this club and it will be in the bag all season. People who know we would raise their eyebrows after that statement. Customer Service Only dealt with Golfsmith . . . very good. Nike SQ Tour
I have the Nike SQ tour 9.5 with a diamana 8.3 stiff shaft. This driver is the best driver I have ever played with. In the past I have tried other drivers from Nike and couldn't control them at all. This driver is long and straight. I have played this club for 5 rounds now and I'm consistantly hitting it straighter and longer than any club I have ever played. Nike 460 SQ
I've read all the reviews here and wanted to add mine. There are probably many golfers like me. On a really good day, I shoot a 103. Double bogey is a really good score for me. Basically do not know how to hit driver. I've been teeing off with 3W for all of my golf career (since 2001) and get about 200 yds average. Have never used a driver - I just couldn't hit one. As such, I've never bought a driver. I do have a Srixon W 302 in my bag that my brother gave me, but don't use it. When I do, I seldom reach the fairway - typically get about 165 yds, and usually the ball slices hard to the right. 3 weeks ago I bought the (Japanese spec)Nike SQ 460 with 10.5 loft - diamana reg shaft. I bought it because it just felt good in my hands and gave me a lot of confidence at address. Never tried it at the shop or the range. And unlike a few other people, I actually love the way the clubhead looks. So I paid for it and left - didn't test it at all. After 3 rounds with it, I am still adapting to it but I now have the confidence to use driver for for every round of golf - although I still tee off on the first box with my trusty 3w. With the SQ, I very rarely slice - it is now either a mild fade or goes straight. I get about 230 yds on a very easy swing. On one particular day, I brought fairway bunkers into play that were at least 250 yds from the tee - granted it was slightly downhill, but still - I am flabbergasted that I actually hit it that far and that straight. Even on miss hits, the ball goes at least 180 yds. I now shoot a lot more bogeys and about one or 2 pars per round because I am actually on the fairway on the second shot. Like one reviewer said, "I can get away with murder with this driver". I am extremely pleased that I bought it and recommend it to any other hack/golfer like me. Cheers. I bought this on an impulse buy ($230 brand new on Ebay) and waht a surprise. I took it to the course without an practice session. WOW, Hit 7 out of 10 fairway and even a miss is not so bad. It is very forgiving and long. This is probably one of the easiest driver to hit. I am currently playing r7+diamana 63 (best driver I've ever played) and it took me a good 2 weeks on the range to learn how to hit this thing. Awesome club for the money. I think it is a little longer than my r7 so I'll keep it for a super long course that need a bomber. |

Nike SQ Tour, 9.5 Loft, Diamana 83 Shaft - Stiff Flex
I had the regular SQ and while it wasn't a bad driver, I just wasn't getting out of it what I wanted. Switched to the tour model and can work the ball a little easier, and get a much more piercing trajectory. With the Diamana shaft you do need to put a pretty good swing on this to get the ball up on the right path (swing speed for me with driver is 105). Am very happy with the switch and I do seem to get an extra 10 years versus the regular SQ model. Not as forgiving as the regular SQ, but very rewarding when hit correctly! Certainly less expensive versus the Taylormade R7 series with a decent shaft, and I feel a better driver for me personally. Customer Service Have never had to use Nike customer service. Nike Sasquatch 460
Mixed feelings on the Nike Sasquatch 460 (not the tour model). I have a 9.5 with a Diamana for Nike shaft in stiff flex. I have hit some great drives with this club, but wouldn't go as far to say that it is the longest or best I have hit on off center hits. It is forgiving, the torque on the shaft resists twisting well on off center hits, the distance on off center hits is average in comparison with other new drivers (which is not bad, just not well above either). It is defintely easier to control than the Ignite. With the stiff shaft, I hit a mid trajectory shot, that does get some roll. With the Ping G2, TM R5 dual and Nike Ignite, with SOLID contact I hit around 270. Still hitting around there, with this club. No feel, even with a .335 hosel..it is a TANK. Customer Service Taylor Made is so, so. Used it for iron repair(under warranty). Took 4 weeks to get my LT2 3 iron back. Similar Products Used: Nike Ignite 460, Ping G2, R7 quad |
