This is a great driver. It makes a loud cracking noice and sounds extremely powerful. The shaft is a little whippier than normal. I normally swing a regular shaft and 10* loft but hit home with this driver. I would not say it gives me 20 extra yards. But with its big head, I hit more fairway with better average distance (no big slices or hooks). I got it early last year as a discontinued model and never feel the need to try anything else.

I have been playing golf three months and my swing is still being grooved, but I have really started to enjoy hitting this driver. Some of the earlier reviews suggested going with the Pro Force 65 Shaft. I entirely agree with this suggestion. I had the Pro Force (firm flex)shaft put in my club and recently I hit the ball 250 yards in the air dead straight (would probably end up at least 270 on the fairway). The Accel-Arc shaft is just too unpredictable for me. Also, I just bought the Mizuno Fairway Driver and put the same shaft in it. I plan to post a review on it once I get a feel for that club.

I bought both a driver (9.5*) and 3 wood, (13*). After 3 rounds my game has improved. The raised bar on top helps with set up and the feel of the club breeds confidence. In the middle of the 3rd round I really got the feel for both clubs and began to nail drives. I have only just begun to realize the potential of my new toys.

I bought this club thinking it would be good. Well to be honest i couldnt have been more wrong. the club doesnt have the good feel or look of the taylor made or ping club. It also lacks the distance and forgiveness by a great margin. Would you rather have this cheap no name or a taylor made or ping for the same price. Trust me dont waste your money

Fantastic driver. I've tried many, none this forgiving or long. I have the 11.5 w/ reg 46" shaft, and its and easy 250 yds. I got a smokin' clearance deal of 100.00, best money i've ever spent.

Model Reviewed: T3, 9.5 deg., stiff Turbo Gold graphite shaft

After getting used to Callaway's so-called 'firm' shaft, the stiffness of the shaft was somewhat uncomforting, but once I got over that there was no problem (well you still do get a lot of problems, but those were my faults.. :)
1) Sound : It makes a pronounced high-pitch sound, I like it a lot although some people just hate it and prefer the dead softer sound of 975 and TiSi's
2) Feel : You really fell the ball jump off the face, the sound has a lot to do with that but hey, the ball really do go far!
3) Distance : Very good, it produces a low, boring trajectory that rolls a lot. Especially compared to my old GBB
4) Forgiveness/workability : Unlike GBB, the face looks open - probably dead square. The club pretty much does what your swing tells it to do. Not overly forgiving but not too bad either.

Overall, I really like the driver and especially its sound and low trajectory. And at this price range, it is a true bargain especially with the shaft that is much better than others. (I don't know if I'd pay extra for Accel-arc shaft, although I've heard some good things about it).

Really, if you don't want pay big bucks, it's a good idea to go for the old brand-name driver and reshaft them to fit your swing speed. My dad has played with a few people with ERC drivers and he swears that he hit his reshafted GBB just as far as those ERC.

Callaway GBB , my dad is using it after reshafting it with a Harrison shaft and it is a very decent driver

I have tried so many drivers, but I keep coming back to this one. This driver is very straight and moderately long. It allows you to draw the ball and is not offset in any way. There are only two other drivers I would consider and they are the new Mizuno forged and the Ping TISI.

Model Reviewed: T3 loft 10.5, stiff Turbo Gold graphite shaft

Went to a golf with my mind set on buying a new Steelhead + driver with steel shaft. Saw the T3s on sale because it's discontinued so just had to try it. On the simulator, I carried 220 yards with the Steelhead and 240 yards with the T3 (with the heads taped.) The T3 was $198 (CND$) and Steelhead $259 so I bought the T3. The next day, I took it to the range and was shocked how far and straight the balls went!!!!! This driver is by far the best I have ever hit!

This is a great driver. I can hit it straight, and far, without really swinging at it.

Bought this based on the reviews here. Can't be beat for the price. Nice step up from my old Warbird and I like the square setup over the closed one of the Callaways.
