I have had this club for 2 months and love the distance but having problems with control. The shaft is EI 70 regular flex which is in my estimation the problem with the hook. The club has a nice feel at impact and nice ball flight. I plan on going to a stiffer flex and will repost on performance then.

They were practically giving this thing away on eBay, and it was brand new!!! Finally got to hit my Mizuno driver on Sunday evening at the range. Holy schmoely. Just my luck it'll just be new club magic and go OB on every hole when I take it out on the course :) I mean, I was hitting the Wilson well but this thing is just so much longer. Hard to tell with lovely flight-restricted range balls, but I was thoroughly impressed. Had to be at least 10-15 yards longer than the Wilson, and what really impressed me was that it was very workable but without overcompensating the fade or draw action. I've never hit a true fade that goes out, moves about 5 yards, and straightens out. I beat on it until I fell over so of course I ended the session with the banana and his brother, the reverse-banana. But before I got exhausted, boy-o-boy, what a gas! I feared I was making a mistake when I sold my Wilson, but I am very happy with this club. I'd recommend finding this club on eBay - you can't beat this deal. I play left-handed so it's hard enough to find clubs to demo, but I was getting bored with the Wilson. I hit a very high ball, and was looking for a club to help bring my ball flight down. I'd say this brough the ball down just enough, more to the mid-high vs high with the Wilson. Hopefully I'll get some roll now instead of the usual wedge action I get when my drive lands. I will concur with the other reviews here - the shaft is a tad whippy but I'll wait and see how it plays out. If I can get this performance from a stock shaft I will definitely be intrigued to upgrade the shaft, but at the same time sticking to the "ain't broke - don't fix it" saying.

Customer Service

Emailed them about demoing their new MP-30s and it took almost a week to reply back to me. The reply was very professional.

I am hiding low. The cops will be looking for me soon 'cause I STOLE this club. What a find! Lost bids on Big Bertha's, Nike's and Wilson Deep Red's. Tried them all and none of them felt as nice as this club. I actually had a guy at the range ask me, "Are you hitting it over the net?", which is about 250 yards out and 20 feet high. Indeed I was. EVERY TIME. Still have a bit of a fade, but that's coming around. I'm going to hang with the factory Accel-Arc Stiff shaft. I do find, however, that if I close the club face just a tad, it tends to reduce the fade, which tells me, the shaft might be a bit too whippy and the club face isn't coming around fast enough. Anyway, it's the nicest piece of golf equipment I've ever had and I would suggest giving it a try.

Hope I don't need it.

Very Long and very straight with the Penley stealth 70 shaft. The clubhead might not be big but it is more accurate and more consistent than the big heads. I do recomand the 10 deg for its 1 deg closed head. easier to hit a draw.

I recently received this club from a friend of a friend to try for a few days. Immediately I fell in love with it. It's the longest club I've ever used and most definately the straightest. I'm going to buy it within the next few days.

Model Reviewed: Mizuno Tzoid Forged

To start off I am abig Mizuno fan as I have been playing MP14's for about seven years. I also play the Forged 3 wood which I find very playable with a nice boring trajectory for me. I have used several different shafts with my Mizuno driver and I am just not getting the consistency I need from a driver. The distance is good and feels sweet on impact but find that theball will try to squirt right if given a chance. I am also a low ball hitter by nature(grew up in the winds of west Texas) and find that the driver want to stay low and it takes a lot of effort to get the higher ball flight needed for longer carries. I think the driver is good for players that have a higher launch angle and tend to draw the ball. If you have any tendencies to cut the ball or slice it, you can find better drivers to fit you swing.

bought this thing so cheap on ebay, that now i'm kind of upset that i spent a ton on other drivers. got a 9* with accel arc reg/stiff shaft played 2 rounds with that and took it out, junk junk, caught it on fire taking it out, burnt nicely, so i guess it was good for something. put a true temper tri gold ,like rifle flighted, in x-flex spined and d-7 swingweight club hits absolutly straight. i average about 265-270 yds not as long as my hawkeye or ping but i'm always in the fairway which i think will lower my handicap eventually. would definately recommend this club with a prof. installed shaft fit to your swing.

I kept reading reviews about changing the shaft. And I have-3 times! Finally got a steel Precision Microtaper in firm flex installed and this club is GREAT! Solid, long and staight! I used to hook or pull the drive and this club fixed that. Feel is the best I have had with a steel shafted driver. I have quit looking and at a price I feel guilty about!

Mizuno clubs are of superior quality. Unfortunatly they are not the easiest to play. There is a reason the clubs, irons & woods, are not marketed more. For the average golfer, which 90% of us are, they are too tough to hit. They are made for pros and very low hndcprs. They are not a forgiving club, they are built for performance and anything less results in misplayed balls... When you hit the driver on the screws it looks like a missle launching, it goes and goes. When you don't catch it pefect it still goes only to the extreme left or right. My TI Bubble 2 is 5 yrs old but WAY more forgiving. The Mizuno is longer, 5-10 yds, but it is soooo hard to hit. If you slow your swing down to the point where your hitting it down the middle then your not benefitting from the forged Titanium. This club is meant to be pounded, so don't pay attention to the other reviewers who talk about a slow swing. If your going to swing like an old man forged Titanium is of no benefit to you. Swing like your supposed to, but do yorself a favor and buy a club marketed to the average golfer. "If you can't handle a Ferrari don't buy one!!!"
