I purchased this club new for $90. 9.5 degree stiff, stock shaft. I have found it to be a solid club and a good value for the money. It hits the same distance as the Taylormade for 1/4th the price. Off center hits do well for distance. It has a set up similar to my Ping TiSi but is more forgiving. The club sets up well and does not look too big. For the money, it is hard to beat this club when looking for value and good performance.

I'll be candid. The club sounds great to the ear, and the light weight is equally pleasing (at first), but over time the driver loses feedback to the rest of the swing system (namely the hands and arms). If you are a low handicap that has developed a highly mechanical or technical swing (regardless of feel), then this may be the club for you. But for the rest of us wanting consistency and control, Titleist offers more.

Just want to add my two thumbs up for a great driver.I have the 10.5 with the regular Exar 60 and although I'm getting up there in age with a swing speed in the upper 80's,I find this combination perfect. Also contrary to other reviews, the trajectory is right on the money. It's as good a any 460 out there, but what sets it apart is that it seems to be more accurate and puts more balls in the fairway than the others Iv'ed tried. Distance is supurb and the feel gives good feedback. The best part is you can get these for around 100 bucks new! This is unbelievable for the quality and performance this club delivers, plus those mis- hits won't make you feel nearly as bad when you could have spent a lot more. So what are you waiting for!Get out there and give this bad boy a try. You really can't lose.

Customer Service

Haven't had to use. With the quality of this club, you shouldn't.

had been playing same club with prolite shaft. the lower torque rating of the blue vs. the prolite was worth the switch. ball flight is tour like (boring). picked up 5-10 yards in distance and control wise let's just say is awesome. might have something to do with switching to the Callaway HX tour. what a ball..... best part paid 200.00 brand new driver, goes to show you the mark up on these clubs.....

I have tried most of the big names in terms of drivers. From the Callaway Fusion, Taylormade 580XD, Titleist 983k,Ping Si3 340, and I recently owned a cobra ss 427 which was just a sledge hammer. This miz is a perfect balance of feel and control. Since i am only 4'9", i got it cut to a 43.5, and the shaft is really stiff! I am surprised at the fact that i am getting amazing distance and high swing speeds with something this stiff! Well, anyways, this driver is great i would say for someone with a handicap of 20 and lower.Off center hits really suffer at times if you do not stay within your swing. When i am on the screws with this club, i can consistently hit the ball 175 yards in the air and 25 roll, sometimes even more.I'd say though that if your swing speed is below 80, you better have a good swing or else you will lose some distance with this driver. The Aldila shaft goes great with this driver. I swung a miz with the grafalloy blue, and didn't think it was as responsive. My swing speeds with the cobra, taylormade, titleist, and the ping were averaging around 55 which i think is super low. My swing speed now is averaging 78.So, i got about a 42% increase in swing speed! I have actually been trying to get rid of this driver, but i realized the other night that it was made for me.The closest i got to shooting in the eighties with any club was with this.I shot a 90. Overall this driver is great for your better to really good player. If you do not have the right form, or swing speed, you will hit bannana hooks, get no distance, or hit crazy slices if you try too hard.I also got mine for 199.99

The closest feeling driver to this would probably be a CLeveland Launcher Comp. I have tried mostly all the big drivers.

I will try to make this review beneficial to those who want to buy a new driver and not just hype the brand. The driver I now play is 9.5* and has the Exsar stiff shaft which is 45" long and 3.5 torque. I was as low as an 8.5 index this summer and now am 9.5 index. I usually play from the tips when I can so distance is not an issue for me but unlike most who leave reviews which leave one to believe they should be on some pro tour or long distance challenge, I only average 250-260 yards on good drives in regular conditions. I found this club to be real solid in feel compared to the other new drivers on the market which I hit before I bought the Mizuno. Ball explodes off face and goes very straight for good hits and is somewhat forgiving on off center hits which have good swings. The trajectory was higher than I thought it would be for a 9.5 degree driver. Bad swing and you are punished, especially with the Exsar stiff shaft. You need to be able to consistently strike the ball well to use this driver. In the end, I don't think this club is that much longer than the driver I was playing with, it just looks better and has newer technology. The driver is heavier than I expected even with the composite crown. I think this driver is for the better golfer who seeks control over pure distance. I play Mizuno irons, wedges and woods and think this club is very good, not great. If you are a "feel" player, this one might be for you.

I tried all of the new drivers (Ping, Taylor Made, Titelist, Cobra) with different degrees and shafts one day at Golfsmith hitting range. Based on the sold feel of the Mizuno, I bought a that on Ebay for less than $125 new.

this is a very solid accurate driver, distance is way above average. in fact you could say it is long. working the ball with the driver has become an enjoyment. 260 -280 carry plus roll is all I ever wanted. also play the 3 wood and the clk trouble club.

By far the best driver out there. I hit everything(quad7,launcher,ignite,973e,wilson,bb2,king cobra comp) I am not a consistent long straight driver, well I take that back, I WASN'T a long, straight hitter until I got this badboy. I switched to my fav fujikura provista 70 shaft. This combo is just balls out for me. I am out hitting the ball 280-290 laced. It has been so fun to outhit my competition, it gets in their head immediately. I have been playing at a 22, but that is going to drop fast. My recorded swing avg. is 100 mph and this club setup is perfect. I don't hit everything on the screws so this club must be forgiving. Do not doubt the brand Mizuno, this club is the real deal. Find it, try it, you will buy it! I got mine from ebay after demo use at club for 150, shaft was 100, best 250 I have ever spent on golf, well maybe playinig Shadow Creek in Vegas was a better 250!

As a follow up to my previous post, I take almost everything back. I hit this club too low. The stock shaft has a high kick point, so you will tend to hit the ball pretty low. This driver is just not forgiving enough for me. The feel is still pretty good, but not forgiving enough.

I ordered a Mizuno MP 001 370cc 8.5 with Aldila NV-85 X. This really is a very solid club. The heavier shaft works well with the lighter Fusion head. Hits the ball very straight. It is just a tad bit longer than the 983k which is also a great driver. The sound created is much different than the traditional titanium heads. It is a bit muted, which I like compared to the loud bang produced by most of the monsters on the market today. Overall it is a fantastic club. Very easy to work the ball and the clubface sits square.

Customer Service

Ordered an enitre set with custom specs and recieved in a week and a half. Great.
