Have a 11.5 degree w/ a Fujikura regular shaft, probably 45". Love it to pieces! Have used it exclusively for about 7-8 years. Great distance & control. Used to be a power fader, now more center & draw. Looking for a 10.5 degree for a lower trajectory, with same shaft. Anyone willing to sell??

I do not need to write a story. Have Taylor-made R7, R11s and the NVG2 is the best.

I bought this driver from Golfsmith for $69. The club seemed reasonably well built, but it just did not work for me. I also noticed these NVG2 drivers from Golfsmith did not come with the original Fuji Quadra staffs that came with the original NVG2 drivers offered by MacGregor. Since Golfsmith recently purchased the Macgregor golf product line, they may have surplus NVG2 Draw driver heads they are offering with different shaft options? I could not find any consistency with this driver, but if could have just been me or my swing. Anyway, I since purchased an almost new NVG (435cc) 10.5 MacGregor driver, 10.5 loft with a stiff Fuji Quadra shaft for $25, and am very happy with the distance, consistency and quality of this driver as compared to the NVG2 which I have sold.

I have both NVG with Fuji 65g Quadra stiff and NVG2 e370 75g stiff. Quadra feels more like a R flex.

NVG is draw biased and this does make a difference. I find it a little hard to hit a fade (intentionally ;-0) The NVG2 is neutral face angle and that is a great fader club.

Both these heads are similar. Hottest drvr head you never heard of. Pretty loud, but not out of norm for recent clubs of this ilk. I think the cup-face is a true technology - it works. My longest drives with this (real yds not internet yds) are 270 and I am a honest 14-15 HC. I don't play with too many guys in the 10-20 HC range who outdrive me with that club. For the NVG I swing the sh*t out of it, for the NVG2 it's ernie els all the way (cuz of the shaft). Both ways work. Not the most accurate driver (but nor am I). I have had better luck staying in the fw with others and that's why I've parked the Macs. Awesome value for a $50 club avail online all over the place.

Definitely a slice fixer. Been playing with NVG2 460 draw for well over a year. Have always fought a fade/slice, but now I rarely miss a fairway and if I do it is because I over swing and hook the ball. I can easily shape a draw or fade, though to hit a large slice you really have to over compensate. 9.5 loft and I hit the ball low to begin with but I still get excellent distance, in flight, and great roll. Overall a great club, the only drawbacks are the sound, it is loud, and the grip wore out quickly. I also use the 3 wood, no draw bias, and I hit it 230 straight.

I've played this driver for a full season and i love it. keeps me in the fairway all day and has good distance. Surprisingly workable for a "draw" club, and mis-hits off the face don't leave you stranded. definitely a good value, found mine for like 60 on ebay. I would recommend this club to anyone who has trouble slicing the ball or is just inconsistent with their driving. PS it is still possible to slice with this club, it just takes a really bad swing to do so.

Bought this Driver new about 5 days ago. Ive since been for one round and twice at the range. I got the regular shaft with a 13.5 loft. I have to say I am astounded at just how well this club suits me. Ive previously had a Cobra LD, Calloway Big Bertha and a MD Superstrong Square draw. All have been such a waste of money. They have hardly seen the light of day. I couldnt hit any in a straight line :("FOUR RIGHT!!"): and had actually given up on the driving game altogether.

Im so glad ive found this club. I have hit 300 balls with it and I can honestly say I havent hit 1 slice, which is pretty amazing. I have so much confidence already over the tee. All I need is one look and bang... the ball is gone. Im carrying about 250 yards with range balls which is about average for me.

Ive one more shot to master then ill be the complete golfer. Im so happy I could cry.

I would highly recommend this club. I picked it up for 150 Euro but forget the money, cheap and all that it is. Im hitting them down the middle which is priceless to me. There really is a club out there for everyone, you just gotta keep looking; "theres plenty of fish in the sea".

I have been a single digit player for many of my 66 years. The MacTec Draw is the best Senior driver I have ever hit. The key for my money is the job that Fujikura did in designing the shaft(Quadra Action) that goes with the club. This club does, as advertised, increase my club head speed from 3-5mph. Most drivers with my normal swing are 85-88mph, and this combo provides 88-93mph. I don't need the draw support, but the head is fairly hot and forgiving. MacGregor in their infinite wisdom discontinued this club. The word seems to be out now however and, it seems to be pulling a better price point than it did when selling new.

im not a good player, but drive long off the tee. ive been using titleist drivers for a long tme, but never felt the need to try the 460cc drivers, didnt like the look and/or the lack of feel. but my 975j was getting too scuffed so i went about looking for a new driver, seeing that the nvg2 had such good reviews online and the tour is slightly smaller looking '435cc?''i brought one for 50 quid. bargain!!! the spec of the driver was really impressive, packed with techy stuff and a good shaft. i heard that the quad flex shaft was really good but a little soft so i went for an x flex rather than the normal stiff.
at the driving range it performed very well. driving as long as my old driver but with a tighter spread.
one thing i would say is particularly good id that the 360 face tech is for real, it works and its long. the sound is mad loud so beware.
with the fuji speeder shaft, even thought it is softer than a normal x flex, its still stronger than a stif, after a large basket of balls my shoulder and back was spent. and its a bit harder to launch the ball at the normal angle, ive always used a 8' with great results. but with a x flex i really need a 9' to get the best launch angle i think.
its not something i cant get over, but i need to be in good shape to use it. nothing to do with form, but energy level and freshness, if im tired then i wont be able to load the shaft properly, also i cant use it off the mats in winter as i cant get enough grip on the mats to 'power up' so i decided to keep using my titleist during this winter and move to the nvq2 when the conditions improve and warming-up and grip isn't such an issue
have to say also that i really like the look of the head, its shape is old school but you can see the tech underneath. the head cover is really funky zip is easy to use and safer than magnets.

Re: MacGregor MacTec NGV2 460 Draw Driver with the Fujikura shaft(R). Been playing since I was 6-7 years old. and learned to play as a caddy. Been as low as a 2. MacGregor messed up by discontinuing the best Senior Driver available in the last two years. The head was hot and the shaft that FujiKura designed for that club increased my swing speed 3mph. I spent all winter hitting balls into a net with a swing speed meter. The only other club that was matching that increase in club head speed was the square headed FT1. I bought a 3-Fairway wood along with it and it was totally different. I bought my MacTec Driver at 10.5 loft and was able to hit it 5-10 yards behind the long young college age players. I was referred to being "sneaky long'. I am now 66 years old and I am still long enough to play the blue tees sloped at 138.
