Attracted to the technology here, KZG's dual face design, I decided to give this one a go. I had mine built with a True Temper EI-70 II, spine-aligned or "PURED" through Golfsmith, 45" with a D4 swing-weight. I really wanted to fall in love with this club. As it is, I liked it very much, but just never fell for it completely. I found the distance to be very good. Not jaw-dropping in relation to other clubs I've hit, but very, very solid distance-wise. As for feel, it was OK. Perhaps spoiled by my run with Titleist drivers over the past few years, the feel was not as solid as I would have liked. Forgiveness is a bit hard for me to define. No doubt about it, the technology works in that the entire face is a sweet-spot, but I found myself hooking this club at times uncontrollably. In truth, I prefer to play a draw off the tee. But more often than I'm comfortable with, a hook would surface... and stick around. I played it on and off for the entire 2004 season, for probably 20 rounds. I'm convinced my hooking with this club was more due to the shaft than the head, but I wasn't willing to reshaft as I've since gone with a Titleist 983E. Incidentally, I had briefly owned the 355cc version of the Gemini in the spring of '04, with a Harmon CB65 shaft. That club felt very solid to me, forgiving, the whole package. I let a buddy of mine talk me into selling it to him when I had bought the bigger Gemini. I didn't have the 355 for long enough to give a comprehensive review, but looking back, initial impressions were more favorable. I can see how this club with be great for others, and with a reshaft, probably great for me. As it is, I did like the Gemini 395, it was just never true-love.

Model Reviewed: Gemini Driver

I researched extensively looking for a driver that was accurate as distance is not an issue. Everything I read had this driver as the straightest. I used a Fujikura Speeder 553 stiff shaft. 59 g. with a mid to high kickpoint. Total Cost $435.00. This is by far the straightest driver as any I have used. Cleveland 330, Ping Si3, Titleist 983, Nike Ignite. It is also at least as long. I have saved myself alot of money because my search for the best driver for me is finally over. Highly recommended!

I've been playing golf for 30 years, and I've never....I mean never hit a club this good before. My Pings are great Irons, but not as good as this driver! The shaft helps I'm sure. I'm 6'2" with a normally high trajectory. Swing nice and easy between 90-95 mph. 105 when I try. This club/shaft combo has a terrific boring flight trajectory, and yes this club is accurate. I normally power-fade with a driver....not anymore. Just tee it up high, and let err rip!! Still have to put a good swing on the ball of course...it's not a miracle worker, but still....take my word for it, this club is GOOD! I guess I should keep quiet.

Holy crap! This club is amazing. Straight and long like nobody's business - a truly forgiving driver. Great sound and feedback as well. Definitely a step above the RBT, though the RBT for its generation is a great club. Get the correct shaft!

Model Reviewed: KZG 395CC GEMINI 9 DEGREE STIFF

What makes a "GOOD" driver good? Is it a long hitting club, or a straight hitting club? Tough to find both in 1 club. What makes a "GREAT" driver great? I've been doing a little personal research lately and been looking for that "MAGIC WAND" and think I finally found here in this club. I have 2 rounds on a new(to me) GEMINI 9 degree (395cc)with a PENLEY ETA stiff shaft in it. It is hands down the straightest, most accurate driver I've ever hit...ALL brand names included. Long? I've gone from averaging around 240-250 yards off the tee 2 years ago with "OLD" technology to around 265-285 yards average these days with most any oversize driver I pick up. I'm actually picking up another 10-15 yards with this club over my long hitting INTEGRA's (excellent clubs) , T.M's, 983's, 580XD's,ADAM's 410 GT, etc. This double face technology WILL take over the industry within a short period of time. It's just that forgiving! Read the raves...It just won #1 ranking from practically EVERY ranking affiliate in the country for accuracy & distance.

Background information: 19 - 20 USGA Hcp Used for 4 months before posting Play 2 rounds per week. Some practice in between. Yes, with that much golf I should play better. Sound and feel are first quality. Like all metal drivers a flush hit gives a clear clean (somewhat loud)and satisfying sound. Mis-hits are almost as good. The club needs tempo and smoothness more than raw speed. Toe and heel hits behave as advertised. They tend to veer less and not much loss of distance. Ball jumps off of the double face. An easy club to groove your swing. Not as workable as some other models, but will put you in the center of the fairway consistently with better than average distance. Paint will mar easily if dinged putting it back in the bag. Taylor Made and Nike tend to suffer the same way. A solid, flush contact (not that hard to do with this club) will launch the ball with some "WOW" factor. Very little spin so it gets good (not spectacular) flight and carry. If you tend to hit the ball on the upswing with a high launch angle, the ball will tend to fly well, but give little run after landing. A moderate launch angle produces good run on landing. As with all big headed drivers, too aggressive (fast) of a swing will tend to leave your clubface open and produce a high slice. Smooth swings are beautifully rewarded even better than the Taylor Made 580 or 580 XD. A controlled higher swing speed is really rewarded with a "Holy Cow. What did you hit ?" reaction from your playing partners. It is a 395 cc driver but has a good swingweight and hides its size on setup and swing. A top quality driver with very good distance, consistently straight and with good correction for moderate swing flaws. Price is less than Taylor Made, Callaway or like "name brands" with as good or better results. While each club feels different to each player, this club blew out the Callaway Erc and Erc Fusion, Nike Ignite and Pinemeadow version of the double wall driver. The technology works very well.

Customer Service

Responsive once you get someone's attention. May take a couple of emails to wake someone up, but from that point on, they do respond well.

This thing is a sledge hammer, my driving accuracy has improved tremendously and my distance has improved my 11 yards. I'm able to reach most par 5's with 5 and 6 irons now. Everyone should definitely check out the Maraging Power fairway metals or the Cobalt Metals

I've only had it for 2 weeks, but let me just say, the Gemini is in a league of its own. One thing I might suggest, is if you don't NEED the 395, don't go for it. It's forgiving enough, don't let it tempt you into hitting blindfolded!!

GREAT CLUB! I have a 9 deg. loft with a fujikura vista pro 80 stiff shaft. My swing speed is 105. This club gives you great distance and is very forgiving. I"ve played 9 rounds with this club. It has definitely improved my driving accuracy. The Gemini give you good feed back. You will definitely know when you hit the sweet spot. Even if you mis hit this club you still get good distance and won't be to far off the fairway. KZG makes great clubs. I own the forged II - M irons, the cobalt 3 Wood and now the Gemini Driver. I was fitted by a Class A master club fitter in Silver Spring, Md.

I never felt the need to write a review or recommend anything, because i felt that what might be good for one player might be not so good for another. Today, this changed. Because today...I played my first round with the Gemini... This is an amazing driver! All you have to do is aim..and it will go there! Hit 12 out of 14 faiways, missed the first 2 on the left hand side only 'cause I was aiming there, allowing for my normal fade. This thing is like a laserbeam! Doesn't really matter where on the clubface you hit it, it goes long everytime...Maybe not as long as my Cobra 370SS (hi-cor) but it doesn't require a centre strike. Ask yourself...would I rather be 280yds in the rough or o/b, or 270 in the middle of the fairway? Plus, you don't have to put in earplugs when you take it to the range, like with an ERC or that Cobra that only sounded ok when I miss-hit it. Great club, and I think that everbody would benefit from it. If Tiger had it, maybe he wouldn't be in the Woods everytime ! Have mine fit with a Harmon Tour Design CB65, reg flex. Looks good, feels good. I'm sure KZG will be a major player in the coming years.
