This driver does exactly what it says it does. Very little spin on the ball which results in much straighter shots and better shot dispersion. Pretty much point and shoot. Very forgiving, very large clubhead. I bought an 11.5 as I have always struggled with getting the ball high enough. Bought the club new on Ebay for $90 with a TT BiMatrix Rxi 44.25" S shaft. The RxI is supposed to give a more boring trajectory than it's sister shaft the Rocket. I have no trouble hitting the ball very high, almost too much so. I have lost 10 yards on well struck drives from my TM 360 10.5*. Part of that is the shorter shaft length (TM is 46") BUT I am hitting MANY more fairways, well worth the loss of distance. I play most all of my golf at Torrey Pines and the rough is generally brutal. Hitting a 6 iron from the middle of the fairway is much better than a 7 from that gnarly rough. Overall I would highly recommend the combination but might rather have the 9.5*. It is hard to know unless you can hit both. The 11.5* allows me to take the ball over trees w/o fear which is nice. The thing I have learned is that GolfSmith is a great way to buy and make clubs that fit your game. Their components are very good and the difference between them and the big boys is simply price. TM, Callaway, Cleveland, et al pass on their huge marketing costs in the form of $400 drivers that cost them about $80 to build. Do yourself a favor and have someone fit you for a shaft (about $20) and build one to your specs. For about $140 you will have a custom driver that will outperform a stock driver from your local golf shop. NO SHEET MAN. |

9.5 HiCOR+ with UST ProForce Gold 65 Stiff
Great Driver! I used to be the short guy in the tournament group I play with but this past Sunday I was the longest. I built the 9.5 degree head with a pured UST Gold 65 stiff flex and I like it. Long and accurate. At first I built an 11.5 degree head with an Aldila One hi launch regular flex but hit it too high. Gave it to my son who hits it better. Customer Service Great. |

This is an excellent driver. This club allows you to swing for the fence and still find the fairway...or at least the fringe of the fairway. Most shots were dead on, while ones that got away did not seriously hurt me because the club seems to bring back errant shots, or at least keep them from doing too much damage to my game. Being left-handed, Golfsmith only offers this club in the 9.5*. Ball flight was a boring trajectory, although perfectly hit upswing hits gave a nice high ball flight. The high ball flight definetly gave me the most distance. Average distance was about 230 while nicely hit high ball flights produced 260's. I've heard Golfsmith will be coming out with a lefty 11.5* in the fall. Can't wait beacause I think higher lofted clubs are the way to go for the oversized titanium drivers. This is the best driver I have ever hit. I made one for a friend and he lent it to his father and he is getting 50yds more. I am consistantly hitting 260++ with great accuracy. I think this club will put me in the 80's. The fairway woods are great also. Golfsmith can't keep them in sotock. |

Built with a PURE'd shaft, the 11.5 deg. is longer and more accurate than all my previous drivers. This is also true for two other golfers who I built the same basic club for. No problem getting the high trajectory needed for long carries. Customer Service Always excellent! |

Golfsmith Hi-COR
I have built seven drivers from various component companies. This driver is clearly the best of the bunch. I ordered the 11.5 degree with the mathching Hi-COR shaft in stiff flex. Very good distance and accuracy. Also, forgiving of shots other drivers wouldn't be. It has one problem - my buddies want to use it all the time. During one round, two of my partners tried it and then began to use it instead of their drivers. They both have their own Hi-COR drivers now... Customer Service Ordered via internet. No Problems.
