I love this driver. I just got the club a week ago. I immediately took it down to the range and fell in love. I am carrying 300 yds and rolling a good 15yds with this thing. Hey you don't have to believe me especially from the score posted but it is the truth. BTW to the fellas that bought this thing already you are about to get mad. I bought it on e-bay and pain $37 with shipping, brand new still in shrink wrap. The e-bay store is call the golf habit. love it love it.

I am a certified club junkie, and have tried out most of the pro line drivers out there..... this one unfortunately was a big disappointment. Maybe it was the X flex shaft, but I doubt it. The first one I got I broke the head along the base after just a few swings.... the replacement didn't break, but it hit like it was broken, not very long and almost uncontrollable in direction. I have hit a LD400, and while it is much better, still not very impressive... the SMT products (especially the 02 heads) are much, much better sticks. Maybe it is just me, so lets call it a three.

before i bought the tsunami i had a ping and a taylormade 360 i couldnt break 90 because i was never in the fairway. since i got this club from golf mart, i'm longer by 30 yards and straight as an arrow.thanks for your help (skip) at golf mart

I purchased off of ebay for $200. I went to the range with 3 drivers to compare. After hitting the Tsunami 400cc I sold my other 2 drivers on ebay. Get the YS-6 SX shaft at 45 3/4" and you'll hit 300 yard drives "straight" at your first range session.

I have responded to over thirty e-mails from other golfers that have written me and asked me how I liked this club once I “woke up”; so I thought I would go ahead and follow up to the non-review I wrote a year and a half ago even though I still haven’t “woke up”. I have played an average of once a week since I took this driver home and all I can say is, I can’t for the life of me figure out why everyone that takes golf seriously doesn’t own this club. I realize that is out of the question since the ‘feel’ of golf equipment such a personal thing, but I seriously doubt I will even think about picking up any other driver at a golf store, much less swing it, for another three to five years. The reason is simple. I have yet to play with anyone that can consistently out-drive me and keep it on the fairway or even seems remotely happy with their latest, newest driver they just put in their bag a few months ago. Granted I am playing with other “week-enders” like myself most of the time and the few times I have picked up a game with anyone with a five or less handicap (and actually plays like it) they usually have some “old reliable” driver in their bag that they bought long before I ever took up the game. I now own the three and five metals as well and they feel as sweet or sweeter than the driver. Usually after about the fourth or fifth hole whomever I am playing with will mention my driver and perhaps might notice that I have the fairway metals to match. They all comment on what a nice looking club it is and wonder what it is and where I got it. Granted, they wouldn’t have bothered to ask if my ball wasn’t consistently 30 to 40 yards past theirs and in the fairway, but none of them seem too interested after I tell them it is a Tsunami from Golf Gear. They just nod like a bobble-head doll and smile. I guess they haven’t woke up either.

Oh, I was hoping this driver would take me to the next level. Rankmark had rated this driver number 1 for distance two years running. I'm a good driver of the ball, but not long (can hit 11-12 fairways on a good day) and average 230 carry off the tee. So I end up hitting a lot of 4-7 irons into greens. I have a T.M. 360 XD driver and thought the Tsunami would give me the extra 10-15 yards I crave. Wrong. It was straight, but very short. 200 yards of carry that's it! I'm a 15 handicap, not a hacker! I'm not sure if it was the 46 inch Tsunami standard shaft or the deep face on the driver or perhaps the grip. I put the same decent swing on the ball that gives me my reliable 230 yards with the T.M. One guy in a recent post (scratch golfer)had mentioned that shaft choice was very important with this driver. I guess that's the case with all woods, but I have noticed that I do a bit better with a more shallow face, perhaps the Tsunami 330 or 360 would be better. I don't have the time to change a swing pattern that I've worked on for two years to fit around a club so I'm trading it back in. I'm sure this club works for many, but we do all have minute swing idiosyncracies, so I'm not going to thrash the Tsunami on ratings. It is a beautiful club to look at at address, almost mesmorizing. caveat: Try before you buy!

This is a follow up to my first review. I have had the Tsunami for 3 weeks now and, if this is possible I love this driver even more than when I wrote my first review. I play 4 to 5 times a week, and yeterday I hit every single fairway. I have come close before and if I miss the fairway it is only by one or two feet.Give this driver a chance, it can work for you too. I have spent so much time money and effort trying to find a driver I could trust that I am now in Tee box heaven. Thanks Golf Gear.

I bought My Tsunami at the Golf Mart, with their policy of 90 Days you cannot go wrong. I had the Taylormade 580 and loved it, but golf being what it is I had to try and get more distance from the new generation of clubs. I tried every club they had including the Calloway ERC Con- Fusion. (Well, tha's what I call it.) I tried the Tsunami as it was the only club I did not try. It felt very solid, and I bought it. I had to get a shaft to fit me for it, but I would not trade this driver for anything. I not only hit it streight but I have added yardage to my drives. It's not about how much you pay, it's what fits you. The Tsunami is the best driver I have ever owned and I have been playing since I was 11 years old. Craftsmenship and pride went into the making of this club.

I am a pro golfer who plays on the larger mini tours. I can play most any driver that I want. The Tsunami 400 cc with a YS-6 shaft is the longest, straightest driver that I have ever played. The ball flies very high and stays there a long time. It is easy to hit. I read some reviews whee there are complaints that the head is too light ( even b a pro). If this is the case, you need a light shaft ( 60-70 grams). The head is fine but just match it up with the right shaft and you cannot go wrong.

I must be the only one who reveiwed this Club Not to like it..It is unhittable for me..After several of my Professional Golfer friends and I spent a day at the range hitting it we have decided it must be a great club for the average golfer but not at all for the advanced or Pro. At first I thought the extra long shaft was the problem but it was not...It is the Gear effect and the concave face..Way to much hook for a swing speed over 115(mine is 129)...As Much as I wanted Just could not keep this thing on the Driving range, letalone the golf course..Guess I will still keep looking. Until then Titleist will always be there..
