cobra 400 sz offset
I am 60 years old and have played golf (fighting a slice) for over 40 years. I was looking for a new driver and went to my local driving range and talked to the owner about drivers. He ask me what I currently had and how I drove the ball. I told him "low driving power fade, about 220 to 240 on average and have to fight to get it to go straight and can't hook it to save my life, was looking for something I could hit staight or fade abit". I also informed him that although I have tried, I "CAN NOT" hit a big headed drive with a graphite shaft. Been there may times and it will not work for me. All they do is make my slice worse in the extreme. He has been in the business for over 50 years. He said I needed a good club with, "2 degrees offset, graphite shaft, mid shaft flex, standard flex shaft about 44 inches long, with a large head. I ask if I could try this "magic club". He walked over to the driver section, about 60 different drivers and picked this one, not the most expensive I might add, taped it up and told me to have fun. I walk out to the range, warm up, hit my irons and then pull out "the magic club". I hit the first one, a long, boomerang slice. Here we go again!!!! Checked my stance, grip, and swung about 80% and hit a very high, extremely straight, 250 yard (on the fly)drive. Repeated this 30 straight times. I bought it and said "thank you very much". $199.00 Played the next day with my cousin, 39, 6'8", 270 pounds who plays a hook ( high 70's low 80's) and hits the ball a mile. His favorite saying when getting to my ball is "can you see my ball from here". During the round I hit 14 fairways and was within 1 to 5 yards of his drives. He did comment about my newest purchase, of which none are repeatable here. Was scoring 86 to 90, now 77 to 83, usually 80 to 83. Have never shot below 80 in my life. Now have a 79 and 77 to brag about. Only change is the driver. My cousin did try the club and you have never seen such a long high drastic hook in your life. If you slice the ball, want more distance, want to hit it straighter, have a handycap above single digits, try this club, I think you will like it. If you hook the ball, maybe the offset is not for you. If you have a handycap below 9, you probably know better than me. My friends are very impressed and are now looking for new drivers, LOL. I tell them I "need to get to the range and practice with my new driver". They call me everything but a Christian. I have hit many a drive in my life but this is the best I have ever had, bar none. Very forgiving, easy to hit, looks great and really long (for me anyway). Hit 90% of the fairways, longest 290 (by range finder) average 250 to 270 ( also determined by range finder). Life is good. Hit it straight and enjoy. Deano Customer Service don't know |

Cobra 400 SZ Offset
I used to own the Cobra 350 SS offset driver so decided to try the newer version. It took just one small bucket of balls to convince me to lay out the money for this club. Not only do I not have to adjust my swing to hit this club well, I can actually put a nice little draw on the ball - and I am a lifetime slice fighter. I absolutely love Cobra products and this driver in particular. If you struggle with a driver, try this club. You will love it too. Only downside is it has a lousy grip so I upgraded mine to a Golf Pride Tour Wrap before I left the store. Customer Service N/A Similar Products Used: Cobra SS 350 offset |

Cobra 400SZ offset
I purchased the Cobra 400SZ offset 10.5 on 10/4/04 after playing the 350SS for one season and I must say this club is AWSOME!!! It's the easiest driver I have ever hit. I know exactly where the ball is going to go and am getting an extra 10-20 yards over the 350SS. I would challenge anyone to find a better driver at any price! I demo'd the club at a local dealer and after he gave me this tiny bucket of balls I asked him for another thinking this will not be enough, but literally after 5 swings I was completely sold and gave the rest of the balls to the guy next to me on the range. King Cobra 400 SZ Offset
I usually hit about 210 - 240 with a fade. This club straightened out my fade, and hits the ball a mile. I've gained at least 20 - 30 yards with this club, and bullet straight. The sweet spot on this club is HUGE!!! Offcenter hits still fly straight (I hit one off the extreme toe, the ball travelled about 180 and completely straight!). You should be aware though that with the mid kick shaft, the trajectory is very high, so it can be a shock if you aren't expecting it. Having said that though, Golf digest recommends a higher launch angle for amateurs to get as much carry as possible. This club is definitely a weapon if you have a tendancy to fade/slice your tee shots. Cobra SZ 400 Offset
Used a Cleveland Launcher but had a problem with a fade right. Demoed the SZ at my local course and hit it pretty good. I went ahead and got the offset model and results have been good. I lost about 10-15 yards in distance, but my ball stays in the fairway much more often. It corrects back to the middle on shots that would have been far right with my Launcher. If I could get the launcers distance with the Cobras accuracy that would be perfect. But since I still hit a good drive over 300 yards its not that big of a problem.
