Cleveland Launcher Ti 460 Drivers

Cleveland Launcher Ti 460 Drivers

DESCRIPTION

Launcher Ti460 Driver uses Thin Crown Technology to make it even longer and straighter than the original Launcher 460. By adding new Thin Crown Technology to the Launcher 460 driver, Cleveland Golf designers have managed to take an already successful driver and make it even longer and straighter. The key to this driver’s renewed success is in the fact that 15% of the weight has been removed from the top crown of the clubhead and redistributed into lower and deeper locations around its perimeter.

Went to Dick's yesterday to demo 3 clubs, the R7, King Cobra & Launcher. Swing speed at approx 108, first tried the R7 and carried it about 265. Then the 12 degree King Cobra and carried it 275. Lastly, I tried the Launcher and carried it 295. Feels good and can not wait to see it on the course! I ordered one from RockBottomGolf.com for 209.99, which is a steel from what my buddies have told me about the driver. Can not wait to play with it, will post another review after a couple of rounds! One of my friends is a scratch golfer (club champ) and he told me it was silly long.

Warning: hooks hard

Seems 99% here love it. They could be right and I'm totally wrong.

Cleveland Launcher Ti 460 was tried and failed for me. The stock stiff 9.5 is to prone to hooks. The very closed face and low loft did not work for me. I couldn't slice it though.

For anyone with tendancy to slice or a more square to open face impact position, it may be very good. I strongly suggest you try it first if you have any hook tendancies or you may be very sorry and 150 yards dead left. Slices will not be common.

My best hit was in no way in comparison to my old 9 degree TM 320 R-flex Graffaloy 35 square face, though I returned it without giving it a chance. I was so scared of developing a slice swing to counter the hook tendacy, that I couldn't risk it. The Ping I reviewed and now own is far better for me at 10.5 Stiff Aldila NV65. The TM 320 tour is hard to beat, but the swing must be on. Graffaloy R-flex prolite 35 is really a stiff flex for most others.

Model Reviewed: Cleveland Launcher 460ti 10.5 reg

I've been a very happy owner of the Launcher 400 9.5 Stiff driver for several years, but I went and had my swing speed measured and it was in the 85-90 mph range, so I wanted to try a regular shaft driver to compare.

I have a pretty slow tempo as well and was hoping the reg flex would help me out a little, and I found the 460ti on ebay for $140.

I took it to the range with my 400cc and wow they are 2 different animals. The 400 feels like persimmon compared to the 460, which had a more 'juiced' feel.

Anyway, I tend to hit hooks or pulls or both and the 460 seemed to accentuate this flaw. I'm not sure if it was the lighter, more flex shaft, or closed head, but the 460 drives were all about 5-10 yards to the left of my 400cc drives.

As for distance, I didn't notice any major difference in carry. I think if I really nutted both, the 460 went a touch further, but not by much.

I could not stop hitting pull shots with the 460, and if I weakened my grip, I'd hit high fanned shots.

I think the 460 is more of an anti-slice club than the 400, so I guess I will stick with my 400 for now.

I think the 460 can be a fun club for people that fight a slice, as it was easy to hit and when you nailed it, had a really nice lively feel.

I would have to agree with the majority here. I just received this club with a X flex shaft and to put it bluntly, I love it!!! The morons below don't know what the heck they are doing becuase for me it's 280-320 every time.

Model Reviewed: cleveland 460 ti w/ stiff fujikura

Bought off e-bay, payed 195. This club has added 20 yards of carry and 15 yards overall. So straight I have to bend sideways to see the flag. Packaging should come with a recommendation to wear ear protection... it's loud. Stiff fujikura shaft a little softer than most. Great driver, especially for the price.

Bought this driver a month ago and have played 3 rounds so far. Excellent Driver. Nice trajectory, Sweet sound, and LONGGG. Also very controlable. $150.00 less than some of the current hot drivers and just as good. The two chuckle heads that gave it a 1 rating must be starving for attention. Give it a try. Great looks and better results.

My drives were the one aspect of my game that was keeping me from consistently breaking 100. When I finally was able to pray my way to within 180 yard of the green I was respectable, but I had to take so many drops because of my wild drives that I was behind right off the tee box.

I spent over an hour trying about 10 different drivers and nothing was greatly improving my ball flight. The pro and I had settled on the most forgiving of the lot (the G5), and I was about to walk away with it when I noticed that I hadn't hit the Cleveland. So we decided I would take a few swings it just for kicks.

What kicks! My first three hits were beauties: straight as an arrow and LONG. Even mis-hits looked like they were on a frozen rope and only lost 10-15 yards of distance. After a few more swings to remove the fluke factor I looked at the pro and said "are we done here?"

This club has immediately shaved 10 stroked off of my round, and I expect to break 90 for the first time this year. My confidence off the tee is at double its all-time high. I can't think of a better value than that, and for $250! This driver has made the game fun again.

As a side-note, I agree with some of the other reviewers that the sound of this thing is unlike any other club. A clean hit sounds like an explosion, and it has caused a few looks from the foursome and folks on the range. Too much fun.

A similar driver to the previous launchers. It will give a slightly different ball flight than the Comp and standard launcher. Just a tremendous club. Try the different shafts and you will find one that works great for you. It's sad the two previous reviews of a 1 rating are just pranks to drive the rating down. They should be deleted. These drivers flat out perform. They are very long, forgiving and can really help your game.
