Cleveland Launcher Ti 460 Drivers

Cleveland Launcher Ti 460 Drivers

DESCRIPTION

Launcher Ti460 Driver uses Thin Crown Technology to make it even longer and straighter than the original Launcher 460. By adding new Thin Crown Technology to the Launcher 460 driver, Cleveland Golf designers have managed to take an already successful driver and make it even longer and straighter. The key to this driver’s renewed success is in the fact that 15% of the weight has been removed from the top crown of the clubhead and redistributed into lower and deeper locations around its perimeter.

This is simply the best driver I have ever hit period !. 9.5 head & i put a ust proforce v2 reg flex & made my own spine finder {like the j.b. spine tool}I put the spine 180 degrees from target { neutral bend point to target}, and could not be happier a lot straighter & longer, 250 meter drives are now a reality for me, also this is by far the most forgiving head I have ever used.
I cannot see how I could possibly better this driver shaft combo, awesome.

This is a forgiving club that is easier to hit straight than anything I have hit before. The distance is great and more importantly its very easy to hit straight. Has a traditional apperance at ball position and provides maximum forgiveness on poor swings. If you want a club that is great value with great performance you should try this. You will not be dissapointed.

I have been hitting this driver for the last 2.5 years. It has a Pro-launch blue shaft.

I have hit a dozen or so drivers trying to find something that goes straighter or longer but nothing has beat it yet.

It has a very classic looking face and the 10.5 loft sets up a little closed (which I like.).

Very good fealing and sounding driver. These can be purchased for cheap and are a great value.

Having hit a Titleist 905R for several years, this was a bit different and took some getting used to. There is less control but with that comes more forgiveness. I can consistently hit this driver 265-275, with bombs up around 300. Like a previous person said, better players will probably want to experiment with shafts.

Model Reviewed: Cleveland TI460 DRIVER

I know, you've heard all the ridiculous claims people make when they get new clubs especially drivers. And I've never written a review about any golf club but the Cleveland TI460 driver I received for Christmas really changed things for me. I've never had a love affair with any woods whether they be drivers or fairway woods. Frankly, until now, I was always more confident with an iron in my hand whether it be a 2 iron or a lob wedge. I've hit a lot of drivers for long periods of time, TaylorMade, Cobra, Stiletto, Nicklaus, etc. I got this driver and all the pushes and slices went away. I gained at least 20 yards off the tee and it's not just me that notices............everyone notices. I bought one for my 30 year old son and he hits it 30 yards further than normal. I don't want to make this sound funny, but this club is "magic". I don't know why but it is. I have the 8.5* with NV-65S shaft and for some reason it just feels right and I just don't miss it. By the way, this club hits the ball higher than any 8.5 degree driver I've ever used. I'm 56 years old, and I'm hitting my drives farther than I did in my 40's. I know........you don't believe it and if it hadn't happened to me, I wouldn't either. Give this club a try if you have the opportunity. You'll see. I'm still pinching myself.

You want to know the only negative thing I have to say???? The headcover is pretty ugly........but who cares.

By the way, shot 34 on the front nine last week. Because it hit it long off the tee and kept it in play with the TI460.

Model Reviewed: Cleveland Launcher 460 Ti

I'm in my late 50s, shoot in the low 80s/high 70s, but had seen my distance with the big stick begin erode a bit with age, and wanted to see if I could get a boost with the newest in driver technology...but having demo-d most of the 2007 models nothing was really impressing me. Went to a store that had a Vector Launch monitor, and based solely on that fitting bought the new Cobra LDF. A problem there, though--the built in 2 degree closed face/draw bias. I hit the ball straight, and so had to either greatly tone down my swing, or have to compensate for the draw bias, both of which took the instinctual fun out of hitting driver. What to do?

Since I liked my Cleveland launcher fairway woods (and their lack of offset)
I did some research...and having talked with the Cleveland rep, discovered that the 460 Ti when ordered with a loft of 9.5 or less had no offset; I then bought a NEW
(2006) model 460 Ti on Ebay for $78.00. It came with the stiff Fujikura stock silver shaft
and 9.5 degrees of loft. What a delight--not to mention a fantastic value.

No longer having to compensate for any offset, I could begin to make a full turn and put a full swing on the ball without worrying about leaving it left. This club has been like the fountain of youth--for I've gained a good twenty yards on "average"
hits (averaging now 250) with big hits going 260 to 280. It had been a couple of years since I'd reached a par 5 in two, but earlier this week I just missed a double eagle on an uphill par 5 when my second shot reached the green, tracked up to the cup, and barely lipped out. I was playing with one of the marshals on my home course and he said that he couldn't recall anybody actually reaching the hole in 2.
And later in the same round on another par 5, for the first time in 5 years I hit what would have been a perfect drive on #9 except that it went too far, rolling into the lake approximately 275 yards away.
Before buying this Launcher I was happy with any drive that went 240 and stayed in the short stuff.

Ball flight is quite boring/penetrating.
The club is quite easy to hit, and for my (guessing) 100 mph swing speed, the stock Fujikura stiff shaft is a wonderful engine. I also like the classic pear shaped head, which I find more aesthetically pleasing than some of the current weirdly shaped heads like the Cleveland Hi Bore, or the Cobra LD series.
And compared to those clubs one doesn't need to tee the ball up so high. Ignore some of the comments you've read about this club's "draw bias" or tendency to hook, that only applies for models with 10.5 degrees of loft, or others designated as "offset." I can't however say anything yet about the ability to work the ball with this club, I simply haven't had it long enough to see it's versatility. But what I can say is that it's as long or longer than anything out there, a fantastic value, and a hugely welcomed addition to my bag. Nice to feel like a big hitter again!

Model Reviewed: Cleveland launcher 460 Ti

I have been playing with the Launcher 400 for a while now and although very pleased with its performance felt that technology had moved on and it was time to see what the new drivers could do.

I selected a number of drivers to test down the range including TaylorMade 460 Super Quad, Callaway FT-5, TaylorMade Burner, Titleist 907 D2.

After testing them all and comparing them with my Cleveland 400 i concluded that none of these drivers was really any better. Its fair to say that the Burner goes longer but was not more accurate and went a lot higher. So i returned all the drivers to to the shop.

I did look at the new Cleveland HiBore but really could not like the head shape. So almost by chance i had the oppotunity to try out a Cleveland Launcer 460 Ti - 10.5 with a stiff stock shaft.

Well what a surprise !!

Now i will not BS you with claims of 300+ yard drives every time as there is to much of that already on this web site. But i will say that almost all of the drives i hit went straight enough and would have hit the fairway. I found that as long as i put a half decent swing on it the result was a straight drive with very good distance. After comparing against my launcher 400 it became clear that the 460 Ti was easier to hit and cetainly longer.

I was extremely please with the look and feel of the club and have decided that this club will replace my trusty Launcher 400.

This club has been discontinued although stock still exist. So if you can find one i recommend you give it a try.
