This has been my driver for the past 3 years, and I have no desire to look into a replacement anytime soon. While my swing is in control, hitting this driver is a dream come true. Over the past three years I've gone from a straight hitter to adding some length with a dependable draw off the tee, and I think I have this club to thank. I have the green shaft - stiff, and the club is just so stable in the forward swing. Very forgiving sweet spot on this club.

The Fujikura Gold stiff shaft is by far the best shaft on the planet. When coupled with the Launcher head - it creates one awesome club.

I've been looking for the 22 degree Launcher FW wood on the gold shaft (I have the 19 degree). If anyone has one for sale, or knows where I can get it, PLEASE let me know.

I have had a Cleveland Launcher 460 (gold shaft) for years. I switched drivers about two years ago to go to Taylor Made Burner. Recently went back to the Launcher, and find it to be the superior club.

Goes straight and has good distance. Great club. Can buy one for less then $75.00. They have maximum face trampoline effect meaning they go just as well as the driver you will pay $300+ for.

I read and use this website quite often because I am addicted to golf and golf equipment. However, this is my very first post because I HAVE to do it. I strike my irons as good as anyone, but have major issues getting off the tee. So, needless to say, I have tried EVERY driver on the market. I mean every driver, Nike, Ping G10, Ping Rapture, Taylor Made R9, R7 super quad, R7 CGB, Burner, Tour Burner, Titleist D series, Cobra S91, Cobra LD Speed, Exotics XCG, Callaway FTi, FTiQ, FT9, FT5, Nickent 4DX, Bang-O-Matic, just to name a few.... haha. So after reading all these great reviews, I go to my local golf shop and I found a 10.5 reg shaft Launcher 460 today used for only $49, why not right. First shot, shank, second shot shank..... third thru 18th hole.... AMAZING!!! I played with my friend who creames his brand new Ping I15 driver..... and let me tell you, I was pretty much neck and neck with him all afternoon. And that's rare. He was speechless, he knows how I am off the tee. I used to be happy just to get off the tee 190 yards in-play just to make bogey or get a nice up and down par. Today, greens in reg, etc..... I know everyone has a preference, and everyone's swing is different, and different strokes for different folks. But there has to be a reason this is one of the highest and most rated drivers on this site, even over the "newer" ones. Oh, by the way..... my second favorite and still in the bag and actually used once today on a par 5 right into the wind is a Callaway FTi cuz it's 9.5 and super hot face, low trajectory, which also rolled out further then my buddies Ping. Summation - forgiving, long, great driver for any skill level.

Model Reviewed: Cleveland 2009 Launcher

The club came with the Fujikura Gold stiff shaft and 9*. I tried this club at a demo day last year and was impressed. I went with the 2009 TM Burner instead and then a few weeks ago picked the 09 Launcher on Ebay. At first the club did not have much pop and distance. So I compared both on the range and course and the Burner won out.
This is my second driver from Cleveland as I was also disappointed with the Hi Bore.

Model Reviewed: Launcher 460 8.5 with NV 65 X stiff shaft

I am a scratch player and hit the ball a mile (125 mph club head speed... about 320 yards at sea level and 330-340 at 6500 feet elevation). I bought my 460 Launcher in the summer of 2002. It was awesome from the start... it was the newest "Big Headed" driver out there. The face was a bit closed, but I offset that by opening it about 0.5 degrees at address. Anyways, I took a few years off from Golf between 2004-2008. I just got back into the game this past summer 2009 and I in my head I figured my driver was outdated (my irons certainly were, and got new ones). So i demoed and tried all the new 2009 technology from all the big wigs. Nothing beat my "old" Launcher! The other drivers were about 15 - 20 yards shorter and just didnt have the same ball flight and feel. I even tried a few different shafts and got the same result. So, given that its 2009, I stuck with the 2003 460 Launcher and will never give it up. I user an Adila NV65 Xstiff shaft. I highly reccommend pairing this driver with the NV65 shaft if you are a better player. The shaft and this club work hand in hand together.

A lot of golfers think they "must" get the newest technology, but I really feel this driver will never be outdone. Like a previous reviewer, I purchased another one of the Cleveland 460's as a backup and will not replace my driver for a long long time.

Model Reviewed: Cleveland Launcher Ti 460 w/ Aldila NV shaft

I purchased this driver roughly four and a half years ago and loved it from the get go. However, I fell victim to advertising and purchased a different driver (Nike SUMO2).

That was a big mistake. I just couldn't hit my new club. Reasonably straight, but the distance just wasn't there anymore. I litteraly lost 25-40 yards on my drives.

I then traded my new driver in for another new model (2008 Burner).

Yet again, a mistake. This club was very forgiving, but also very lightweight. I developed a very nasty hook that I was unable to alleviate.

Luckily, I gave my Launcher to my brother and I was able to get it back with little effort. I have never been so happy with a "downgrade" in my life. I have regained my distance and confidence with this club. Too make sure this never happens again, I just recently purchased a "backup" off eBay.

I love the ability to shape my shots without worrying about hooking the ball onto the other fairways at my course.

The other reviews are correct in the fact that they are available fairly cheap online. So for anyone looking for a forgiving, pretty, long, straight, and cheap driver, consider "downgrading" to a Launcher 460. I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

I owned a Launcher 460 and loved it, but this year I chose to get a new driver so I traded the launcher in for a new club. The new club is very good also but what a mistake I made getting rid of the 460. So I got onto Ebay and bought another Cleveland Launcher 460, for my swing this is without a doubt the best driver. Even the new technology, while good, does not match the playability of the Cleveland. I know others say they can't work the ball
but if you know how to you can. Not to mention it is long. So consider this club, it works wonderful.
