Wow! What a difference! I bought the XLS Draw after trying out a Cobra S9 and Wilson Spine on the range. The noise is somewhat unerving at first but boy it makes you feel good when it goes straight! Today was the first time I used it on the course and after the first couple of holes getting use to it, I went straight for the driver of the tee on every hole apart from par 3's of course. I missed the fairway twice during the whole round, shooting 35 on the back 9 and scoring over 40 stableford points. On several occasions I hit the ball over 280 yards, making a long par 5 look easy, nearly driving the green on a short 310 par 4. I suffered from a bad slice with my old Big Bertha, no more, the club inspires confidence and is worth every penny. I just need to sharpen up my short game now.

Customer Service

Purchased the club from Golf Matters in Witney, Oxfordshire, service was excellent allowing me to take a couple more drivers to practice with.

I have always built my own clubs and after turning 60 have started looking for a bit more distance than 250 yards but something to keep my rights in control. Playing in Florida with a friend, he and all his club mates played a taylor made burner and hit it well. So I bought one. Mine is not a sweet as my own build. I came across a new Cleveland XLS draw for cheep and bought that. No comparison. The XLS was in every fairway in my first time playing with it. It is loud but easy to hit. I bought it with a regular shaft but may try a stiff to get another 10 yards and get a bit more draw. I can't wait to get back to Florida to have my buddy try it. Only way to know if it is right for me or a better club than the Burner in general is have all of them hit it. It is a high launch club, so a low launch shaft may give me the extra yards I am looking for but this is my new project, this driver may be my ticket into the 70's

Bought it based on reviews I read here and hitting in simulator. Really impressed. Bought MRH Stiff 10.5. Get great ball flight, and it has assisted my slight fade/high cut into a neutral or slight draw. Takes a few buckets to master it, but best driver I have bought for under $200

I'm generally a bogey golfer with a fairly aggressive swing. I've had control problems with my driver since I started playing golf. I purchased the original Hibore last year and decided to buy the XLS at the beginning of this year after having such good luck with the original. Needless to say it's been the best club I think I've bought. Improved accuracy without losing any length. My misses are much more controlled than before.

Customer Service

I recommend anyone looking for a new driver to check out Cleveland. I've always been partial to Taylor Made but after buying two different Cleveland drivers they convinced me. Both Hibore's I have used are excellent clubs which I recommend to anyone.

hav used this driver for 2 months updating from the hibore xl 12.5 degree with a senior shaft. good and straight but ballooned it a tad much. this one hits boring 20 metres further drives and if it is straight as well, we will all take the extra yards. cleveland got it right with this baby. only drawback I am still on th same handicap. driving much better but falling down elsewhere.

Only been playing and learning almost a year now. Have been playing with the much appreciated father in law hand-me downs that had an old Driver and 3 wood with a complicated weighting system and a whippy shaft for a regular. I pretty much sliced everything unless I teed up very forward but still very inconsistent. I bought this driver after alot of reading and looking and also trying Demos. It just felt the best and the stiff shaft brought my particular trajectory around straight as heck. I took it to the range and yes its loud but the results were the same as the demo cage. Long and straight for me anyways as a new golfer in my 40's.

Customer Service

Bought club at Golfsmith and have not used customer service since purchase but appreciated the opportunity to Demo club on site and it was on Sale at the time.

I am so pleased with this HiBore that I can hardly stand it. I am a firm believe that it's the Indian and NOT the arrow, but in this case I will eat crow. The 2* open club face has allowed me to completely alleviate the left side of the course. 9 straight rounds w/o a ball left of target.

Sound is actually quite annoying, but I'm interested in results. Coming from a TM R540 in an 8.5 which I actually liked, but it was a square face angle which still allowed me to get the occasional hook into my game.

I have no idea how the average hacker could hit this club b/c if you are not attacking the ball from 2-3 degrees inside it will end up out of bounds right before it leaves the tee box! However, for better players this could be your answer to prayers! The entire reason I have not looked at a new driver until now is because of the draw bias the manufacturers build into their clubs now for the slice crowd.

Distance is about the same as my R540, but accuracy is insane with a nice 10-15 ft. fade every time.
Kudos Cleveland!

Model Reviewed: Cleveland XLS Tour Driver

Well I am a scratch golfer and shoot under par more often than not. The one club in my bag that constantly can affect my round 5-6 shots, (other than the putter of course) is my driver. I recently purchased a Cleveland XLS 13* 3 Wood w/ Red Fuji Shaft because I had been struggeling with my current driver (Bang O Matic 460cc, Accuflex VS339 X Shaft). I have hit this XLS 3 wood so good and long that I couldn't believe it.

At any rate, after playing two consecutive rounds under par with my 3 Wood off the tee I figured what the heck. So I purchased the Cleveland XLS Tour Driver 9.5 with the Fuji Red X-Flex. WOW! This driver really is long, and I haven't found a driver as long as my Bang O Matic ever. This driver is about as long as my Bang O Matic but it is so much easier to hit. Cleveland Drivers have always been underrated in my opinion but this thing really might be the best driver out there.

My swing speed is very fast 115-119mph and I am hitting this thing 295-315 yards. The best part though, my mis hits still go 275 and are not nearly as crooked as I'm use to. This is what most golfers really should look for. Lets face it, a good shot is a good shot regardless of how good you are. The key is, how good is your bad shot. Can you still play the hole? or are you chipping out sideways? For me a Driver is all about long par 4's and par 5's. These are the holes that affect my round. With a long straight drive on a par 5 I am most likely making birdie b/c I can get home in two. The same drive on the 440yrd par 4 takes bogey out of the question. I tend to get a little over excited about new equipment but let me just say: The Cleveland XLS Tour Driver is AWESOME!

Just as a word of caution: Be sure to get the right shaft with this Driver. Most amatuer golfers should be using the Gold Shaft in whichever flex they like. I would only suggest the Red Shaft for players with very high swing speeds or you won't get any kick out of the shaft.

Do yourself a favor and go hit one!

Just purchased my second Hibore driver. My first was the original Hibore. I didn't have the chance to hit it before I went out to the course, but the first few holes...WOW!! It went long and straight.

My previous Hibore went long, about 270-280 yards. I played with an Aldila NV-65 shaft and I thought everything was great...WRONG. I'm a firm believer in Cleveland drivers, but this is just stupid. Straight and long, stock stiff RED shaft, 9.5 degrees and it just feels good to watch it go.

Don't be fooled if you have a serious slice this won't correct it. Get lessons and fix your swing. Don't believe in magic fixes, it doesn't matter what club you have, if you slice it will still slice if you buy this club. Be a student of the greatest game on the planet.
