One of the easiest drivers I've hit. Ball goes straight and fairly long. Mishits are forgiving and still go the distance. Does not go as long as titanium drivers, but I'd rather shoot straight than long and crooked any day. For the price, you can't beat it! Tried various drivers, but could not obtain consistent results - may be due to graphite shafts. When I switched to the Steelhead Plus, my scores improved because of hitting fairway (11/14). Distance was less; avg. 250 yd., 260-280 on perfect swings. My friends were impressed with the Steelhead Plus. One tried it at the range and hit (8) perfect drives in a row. He tried again on course and nailed it. I told him it was the club, not his swing. Had tried the old Steelhead driver in the past, did not like sound/feel as much as the Steelhead Plus. Another quality product from Callaway - nice paint job too! Similar Products Used: Ping I3, Adams SC, Callaway Steelhead, Callaway Big Bertha |

I shoot in the high 70s, real low 80s and so far I think that this is one of the better drivers out there. I've had the Ping TISI and the Hawkeye, and I would have to say that the Steelhead Plus is just as good (definately better than the Hawkeye). I hit it a straight 250 and have no problems working the ball. Similar Products Used: None |

This club is ok. If you are considering buying this club I'd suggest you consider paying a little bit more for a titanium driver. You could pick one up for about $100 more. This driver is considerably smaller that drivers today, which makes it a little bit less forgiving. Other than that it is prety ok. Similar Products Used: Stealhead origional. |

I GOT THIS CLUB FOR A CHRISTMAS PRESENT AND ALMOST EXCHANGED IT FOR ANOTHER. I'M GLAD I DIDN'T. EVEN THOUGH I LOST A FEW YARDS OFF THE TEE DUE TO A SLIGHTLY SHORTER STEEL SHAFT, IT'S EXTREMELY FORGIVING AND ALSO FEELS GREAT AT IMPACT. WHEN YOU HIT A GOOD SHOT YOU REALLY KNOW IT. THIS HAS TO BE THE BEST DRIVER OUT THERE IN IT'S PRRICE RANGE. I DEFINETELY RECOMEND THIS CLUB. Customer Service I HAVE BROKEN THIS CLUB TWICE (ONCE AS A RESULT OF MY OWN STUPIDITY) AND CALLAWAY HAS REPLACED IT QUICK AND EASY, NO ?'S ASKED. This has got to be the easiest drivers on the market to hit. I once tried the tileist 975D and it did go farther but it was harder to keep straight. I like the accuracy of the steelhead plus and i also like the sound. I highly recomend for the beginner or the pro. Similar Products Used: None |
