steelhead 11 degree driver
I bought this after reading reviews of this and other clubs on this website and elsewhere. This is my first real driver, my previous one having been made of tin. I wanted something very forgiving, hence I settled on 11 degree and a firm shaft. I'm not interested in length. This club seems to give me about 220 yards or more - don't laugh, that's pretty good for me. The beauty of the club is the line it encourages: straight 90% of the time. I was previously quite a wild hitter. I pray the club face doesn't cave in, because I don't want to be 'upgraded' to a steelhead plus or any other newer club for that matter. I hit a lot of fairway metal before deciding on this club. I love it! Great look at address and the sound of crisp contact is sweet. However, I think a lot of the Callaway shafts are subpar, so I have an ei70 in this club. It keeps the ball on a lower trajectory for me. I need to put this shaft in my BBB! The steelhead is okay if you only pay $150 for it. But it just isn't consistent; the sweetspot has a diameter of a millimeter. The sound is kind of annoying too. Similar Products Used: Taylor Made Ti 10.5 |

This is by far the best fairway wood Callaway has come out with. The feel off the tee or the fairway is phenomenol and it flies just as far as the maraging steels and even titaniums at a not-so-titanium price. It flies 230 off a tee and about 225 off the fairway and I only swing about 95mph. It is unbelievable and is well worth a try... Believe me for 169-249 price, it is unbelievable. Simply fantastic. Great feel and wonderful distance. Gets the ball up higher than other drivers with same lofts. Every bit as long as titanium drivers for about half the price. Similar Products Used: Callaway Warbird |

3 wood
I tried a Callaway Steelhead three wood this year and have found it to be by far the best fairway wood out there. Easy to hit and always dead straight. I intend to add other Steelheads to my bag, in the near future (possibly a 7 wood). |

Once again Callaway has produced another winner. The club feels really solid and the ball comes off hot. Carry and overall distance are even better than previous Callaway steel offering. Only complaint is the quality of the shaft, a little too much torque for my liking. Customer Service Customer service is the best in the business. Absolutely superb off the tee. Very little distance loss as compared to driver. I have found them a little more difficult to hit off the fairway than my low-profile fairway woods but I'm improving all the time. Similar Products Used: Top Flite Intimidator |

Excellent, reliable clubs. Much easier to hit than the low profile fairway woods. Seem a little better than the warbird predecessors in forgiveness and in getting the ball up in the air. |

The most forgiving club out there. It also goes a long way even a little off-center. Just a great club. Similar Products Used: None |
