Calloway Hyper X 11 degree Tour
CRUSHED IT FROM THE 1st TEE!! This is the first large displacement driver I've ever hit (I'm cheap). I was a little afraid of the loft (11-all that they had) since I've been hitting a Calloway Steelhead 9.5 for years. I'm a good ball striker, but the distance was amazing - 280 to 300+ from the start. It's the most fun I've had on a golf course in years. I could hit straight, my natural draw or a fade with equal ease and control. Every drive was in play (a first for me). Buy it. Customer Service Bought from the Navy Exchange for $150 (a bargin I couldn't pass up). |

Coming from the perspective of a low handicap, right-to-left-prone-to-hooking player, I love this club. It looks great at address, the Tour model I believe sets up a degree or two open (the std model of most Callaway clubs is closed at address). I have the 8.5 degree and am hitting it longer than I've ever hit it before. Great ball flight, and pretty low spin so you get good rollout as well. Not the club for a high handicap fighting a slice, but for a more accomplished player I think it's fantastic. |

I've used the 10.5* Tour model with the Fujikura stiff 360 Fit On shaft for about five months now. Nothing fancy or gimmicky about this club. Like a few others have observed this club tends to produce a fade, other things being equal. Distance is average. Best feature is the percentage of drives that find the fairway. Overall a very good club that produces consistent results. I just saw this driver advertised for $199 in my most recent Golfsmith catalog, and at around $160 or so on Ebay it's now a very good value. |

had the original hi-bore driver, loved it for 3 years, unfortunately for me i don't launch it the way i did when i bought it (9.5). stubbornly realized that i needed to move up to a 10.5 loft to achieve optimal launch conditions...
Customer Service went to golf galaxy in roseville, wasn't happy with their lack of attention to customers. tried golfsmith, much better attention to the customer.

WOW! People were saying this when I was driving at the range and stopping. Swing speed 110-115. CRACK!! Great dominating sound. The ball shot off like a rocket. If u tee it low it shoots off like a gun tracer. Hitting it with a fade 300-350. Nice trajectory. Forgiving. Satisfying. Builds confidence. Nice look at address. Not a great trampoline effect at impact like my Cleveland launcher 460 but more predictable. Can be hit strait if mechanics are good even on toe or heel. |

My misses with this driver is to the right. When I got used to this driver after few holes, I was enjoying the distance I got from this driver.

Received this club as a gift, tour model with the UST V2 stiff shaft in...67 grams. My SS is 105-110, ball speed is 150-157 and my launch angle is consistently 11-14 degrees and my spin rate is usually anywhere between 2700 and 3000.

Well, I got a deal from TGW.com on a demo HyperX, 8.5 w/ stiff Fuji E360, only paid $184. Club arrived today, and I must say I was impressed by the square setup at address. Took it to the range and HAMMERED about 5 drives. Man was I "stoked" to quote Johnny Miller lol. Anway, a few drives later, *snap* the clubhead went flying off. Holy crap, I couldn't believe it, this club looked to be in brand new condition. Anyway, I quickly recovered the head and drove home to phone TGW. Since the club was a 'demo' it will take SIX WEEKS to replace it. Frankly, I just can't wait and am going to have it reshafted out of my own pocket. I am gonna go with the UST proforce v2 65, as it's not that expensive and has had good reviews. That's how sweet this club is, I can't wait a week, much less six , to hit it again! Most awesome driver ever, from the few shots I hit. Anyway, if any of you guys have shaft recommendations let me know, my SS is 103 to 108, and I average about 270. HyperX really is all that! Customer Service to damn slow. Six weeks??? Similar Products Used: Great Big Bertha 2 |

Callaway Hyper X Tour 10.5 YS-6 Reg
This is club review on performance nothing else. Club is difficult to draw, but if you fight a hook this is one to look at. No alignment aid on crown so alignment is more difficult, at least for me. Very nice trajectory usually with very slight fade. Carry distance is a little longer than my Titleist D1, but additional roll is much more. Sound, well I like muted sounding drivers which most Titleist drivers have, this may not be loud to most, but to me it is pretty loud and high pitched. Good feedback and forgiveness; but like most drivers will lose distance when missed. One very noticable thing was this driver seemed very heavy compared to the Titleist D1 though swingweights were very close. Overall weight seems heavy |

Callaway Hyper X Tour
I know my swing and what kind of driver head will work for it. Nothing closed or with a draw bais. I hit the regular Hyper X and liked the distance and feel but not the ball flight, closed face equals fighting hook. Special ordered the Hyper X Tour 10.5 with a YS-6 regular flex shaft, square face. I like to have an alignment aid of some kind on the crown of my woods, unfortunately the Hyper X Tour doesn't have one. Callaway's website doesn't mention this, and not one picture of the Hyper X; whether it be of the Tour or not; shows this fact. No big deal, right? Not for me, being disabled I require this alignment aid for confidence and what else, alignment. Callaway's response was most better golfers don't like the alignment aid, what? Am I the only good golfer that prefers alignment aid on the crown of my woods, or at least some kind of alignment assistance? I know it seems minor, but I would have looked at other driver options had I known. And none of the local golf shops had a Tour version in stock to look at, besides Callaway told me the look of the two drivers was identical. Sure I could have been fitted, but if you know your swing, know your preferences, and know what works? It was not like I was hitting last year's model and buying this year's expecting the same. Both are the current model. Just me but I thought others should know. Customer Service Not what it used to be. Come on to say most better golfers don't want alignment aid, we all will take any help we can get |
