Callaway FT-i Tour Drivers

Callaway FT-i Tour Drivers

DESCRIPTION

The Callaway Golf® FT-i and FT-i Tour Drivers represent a quantum leap in driver design. To exploit our proprietary Fusion® Technology — the superior weight-shifting science developed by Callaway Golf that uses multiple materials in clubhead construction — the design demanded a new shape. With the revolutionary 460cc Complete Inertial Design, the FT-i Driver pushes the boundaries of shape, of our imagination, of the rules. This design precisely positions weight to the extreme corners of the clubhead, producing the highest Moment of Inertia of any Callaway Golf driver, resulting in unparalleled forgiveness. Our largest, most robust CT/VFT Titanium cup face is designed to the legal limit as defined by the USGA Characteristic Time test, resulting in increased ball speed, distance and forgiveness. Also incorporated into the FT-i Driver is the OptiFit™ Weighting System that produces three center of gravity configurations: Draw, Neutral and Fade, enabling golfers to choose a combination to best suit their individual game. The FT-i Tour Driver features a slightly open face angle for a look preferred by more accomplished players. Designed by the industry’s leading minds, the FT-i Driver will break barriers of performance, distance and forgiveness.

460cc Complete Inertial Design
Positions discretionary weight to the extreme corners of the clubhead, raising the MOI for unparalleled resistance to twisting both horizontally and vertically, providing forgiveness on shots hit all over the face.

OptiFit Weighting System
Enables golfers to customize their driver by giving them three different CG locations to choose from in most lofts: Draw for promoting a draw or reducing a slice/fade; Neutral for maximum workability; or Fade for promoting a fade or reducing a hook/draw. Fusion Technology
Proprietary technology creates maximum perimeter weighting and more discretionary weight for precise positioning of the CG and exceptional stability on off-center hits, enabling ball flight customization for optimal individual performance. CT/VFT Titanium Cup Face
Modified version of VFT® Technology in which face thicknesses are designed specifically to maximize performance under the new USGA Characteristic Time test, resulting in our largest most robust face for increased ball speed on shots hit all over the face.

Carbon Composite Body
The material used to make the body is significantly lighter than titanium, allowing Callaway Golf engineers to move discretionary weight where it is needed most, resulting in better stability and distance.

Not like the advertise, i just buy a week ago with 9 loft, stiff, fujikura speeder 586 shaft. When i use in range the distance just only 200 yards. I hit with the Callaway FT-5 about 300+. End of words this driver is not worth it overall. Tq

I hadn't tried these clubs for long, although I did however have a smack with the FT-i callaway. This driver was placing e in the spot!!!! I didnt believe how far i was hitting them! This was definately a Great experiement. I am only 13 years old and I was hitting them 278 metres the guy had told me. I one day will perchase this as I become a better golfer. I hope. This driver is great! It doesn't go fade of draw. (If you buy a draw FT-i it will) (same with a fade FT-i.)
Do buy this club!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Buy it!!!!

So I picked this up out of curiosity @ my local pro shop, & took a few swings on the simulator. The sound was pretty cool, but most impressive was the grouping on the club face. Took it to the range the next day, & was blown away by the consistency. Compared it swing for swing with my new R7 TP, & was longer & strighter on pretty much every shot. It's a little harder to play a draw, but a fade was not an issue at all. Want to hit it straight...that's what this club is all about. LONG, & straight. It will replace my R7 425 TP in the bag indefinitely. I actually like the look of the club, & it sets up very nicely. Tour model has 0.5 degree open face which is a plus. Speeder 686 shaft is sweet. Feel of the club is remarkable. I may trade in the R7 for a backup FTI in 8.5 degrees. I highly recommend this driver for both advanced & beginner golfers. I will say, that the harder you swing the club, the higher the ball flight.

Taylor Made R7 425 TP. Don't have anything bad to say about the R7 TP (easy to work the ball, swing 80% & the ball flies 285 plus). I really like the club...Also own the R7 TP irons (amazing) & R7 steel fairway woods (love em too). This FTi simply outperforms every other driver out there. With range balls I was reaching the end of the driving range (300+ yards with no wind in my back).

Just got this driver and have been on the course 3 times with it and am very impressed. Very easy to find the middle and if you can get over the square look and the longer shaft there is no reason why you could hit every fairway during a round of golf. Don't be fooled by all the hype though, you still have to swing it good, remember nothing can fix a bad thing, but, this driver does want to go straight there is no doubt about that!
