I was able to demo this driver over two rounds, and two buckets of balls and found it has some highs and one low. It is easy to hit, and pretty easy to hit straight, and it had descent distance. The bad quality that i found with this driver was that it was perhaps one of the worst feeling clubs i have ever hit, and to me feel is an important quality in a good golf club. It simply felt like an old wooden club, and that is probly why the other big name club companies have yet to produce a carbon composite driver. In all i found it to be a pretty good club.

since i was 10 i have been playing the us kids golf clubs. they were the worst clunbs i ahve ever hit. I decided well scine im only 13 i will just up grade a few clubs. I tryed out my freinds c4 and i loved it. so i looked online and i found one for only 150 dollars. My shot used to be a major slice and oly 210 yars but now i hsve only a slight slice and hit it from 250-280. ive even hit a few greens on par 4's.

I had been hitting a great big bertha regular shaft 8 degree. And felt it was time for change just for kicks. I decided on other reviews on this site that the C4 was the one to try. This C4 is the best driver i have ever hit! much, much straighter than the great big and much longer. I used to average 250-260 with the old great big and now with the C4 im getting anywhere from 285-305 a great club and this kind of price you cant go wrong.

Model Reviewed: callaway c4 firm flex 9deg.

I was using a callaway hawkeye titanium it was giving me plenty of distance but my accuracy was too inconsistant. A friend of mine let me play his c4 for a round and I demoed another while on vacation. I found it to be the most accurate driver I had ever played. I used to hit a fade/slice but with the C4 It became a predictable slight fade. So when my friend wanted to switch to a ping ISI I was more than happy to hand him $125.00 for the C4. I have played it for over a year now and the spin off the club face I get with other clubs just isn't there. It is as long as anything I have ever hit other than the new titleist 983K, and for the price that you can buy one for now you can't go wrong. It did take a few swings to get use to the sound but other than that it has been well worth the money.

I purchased this driver as a temporary replacement for a MacGregor V Foil Tourney stiff flex was having a waranteed shaft replaced as I had snapped it just below the grip. Well, 4 weeks later MacGregor once again demonstrates that they have the worst customer service in the business and have yet to return my club. (Stay away from MacGregor, great product but VERY poor service) The C4 took a little getting used to. The firm flex shaft felt closer to a less whippy regular flex. This driver remains a surprising club. I cannot imagine someone deciding to design a club that offers no sound, nevertheless it remains odd to sit back and drill a ball off the face, see it fly without the usual shattering, screaming club face that too many titanium drivers have. (You can hear an Adams Redline from 3 fairways over) Distance remains similar to other competitors. No more, and not much less. Yet, the difference remains FIR's. Fairway after fairway is a soundless experience that I can live with. On the absolutely worse mis-hit, a baby fade remains a possibility and the yardage remains more than tolerable. Fairway after fairway, after fairway. Need I say more?

Customer Service

Callaway has the best customer service in the business. In contrast to MacGregor who have the absolute worst customer service on the planet.

i have been golfing for 4 years and i am still using my first set of clubs (vision 210), but i broke the head off my driver last week. after the round, i drove over to the local golf shop and looked at some new drivers. most of them were nice, but at 16 i dont have 2-4 hundred bux to spend on a driver. i found the C4 in the back of the store on the used race....and i took it out onto the demo range. it was love at first sight. i hit the ball straight and farther than i ever have. the weird sound dosent bother me, and i cant see someone holding the impact sound against a club. i brought the C4 to the range with a few pals of mine. they all agreed with me that it was a steal for 90 bux and one of them has bought their own.

I play once a week in a men’s league and shoot consistently in the mid seventies. The only reason I’m considering changing drivers is the one that I use now maybe considered illegal. It’s an integra 550 with a full length proforce 65 stiff shaft. I’m planning to enter a few club tournaments and the last thing I need or want is for someone to call me on my driver. I took both drivers to the range today. The C4 is about 3 inches shorter than my Integra. I actually like the contact sound and feel with the C4 vs. the loud whack of my present driver. I’m not sure of the reasons but the flight on my 9’ proforce stiff shaft vs. the 9’ C4 regular shaft is a lot different. The C4 is more of a line drive. I’m losing about 15 yards and some control. I tend to snap hook the C4 and am guessing the reason is the regular shaft. I’m going to investigate the possibility of changing the shaft in the C4, for the price I paid it’s worth the risk.

I bought this driver after agonising it for weeks. Got it three weeks ago and immediately saw improvement in my driving. Because it is so light I could "finish" my swing and that cured my slice once and for all. Now I get 200m straight 99 per cent of the time. It's a revelation. I won second place in a recent tournament because I hit 14 out of 14 fairways last week. Before that I would be lucky if my ball lands on the short grass on three holes. I agree with many reviewers here, that you have to hit it easy and within your balance. The club will reward. Cheers Callaway.

Model Reviewed: Callaway C4 8-deg w/ Prototype Aldila stiff

Been searching for a new driver for ages. tried them all, was leaning towards the Callaway VFT. Then I hit my friends C4 that he never uses. Hes a touring professional so he gets equipment all the time. Im not sure how it is with the callaway shaft, but with this protoype Aldila shaft it is an amazing driver! Ive played 3 rounds with it and have missed 2 fairways. EXTREMELY forgiving. Slight mis-hits stay straight and still get out there. Average drive is about 280-285, all carry. Mis-hits go about 265. Ive read that some dont like the sound or feel, but I have Persimmon fairway woods so the sound and feel is wonderful to me! Ball flight was my usual slight draw, but I had no trouble hitting a cut when needed...which i felt was a problem with other drivers, no ability to work the ball.
