Biggest Big Bertha, 9*, regular flex
Moved onto this from an old steel headed driver. I liked it cos it has a longer shaft (I am 6'4) and I'd heard all about Big Berthas. It put 20 yards on my drives immediately, sounds great, feels great, looks fantasic. Ball flight is very penetrating. Newer drivers claim to hit further, but I doubt i'll ever try them cos I absolutely love this Driver. If it ever gets damaged I will cry, before I search the planet for an identical replacement. It really is the mutts nuts. Wish Callaway still made these, or a least drivers with the classic looks of the Biggest Big, and Great Big. BBB - Reg Flex
I have a 10 degree orig. Big Bertha and had problems off of the tee so I have been using my 3 wood. I played the BBB the first time today and used it on every tee. On the front nine I needed to get used to the larger head and longer shaft, on the beck nine things started to click. It's everything I hoped for, longer drives with the same swing!! The accuracy is amazing. The more comfortable I got with it the more I leaned on it and couldn't get it OUT of the fairway!! I can't comment on the orig shaft as this one has a Grafalloy Prolite 45. I can say I LOVE THIS DRIVER!! Customer Service All of my drivers and fairway woods are Callaway and I have always had EXCELLENT response. Biggest big bertha strong flex
Lets start by saying that I have always loved callaway drivers, the sound, the feel, the no hosel all of these wonderful traits lie in the biggest big bertha. I've started my callaway collection with a warbird which I loved but unfortunately broke the shaft so I decided to buy a new club instead of replaceing the shaft and went with a steelhead plus awesome club for the mid handicapper, I loved that club but after 2 years of playing it I decided to in a way join the crowd and buy a over sized driver why not, a bigger head equals more forgivening drives. So I went with the biggest big bertha at 290cc it was not close to the biggest club head on the market but a good 90cc bigger then my previous steelhead. I thought anything bigger then 300cc like those 400cc taylor made's and nike's were a waste to buy since your not really improving your game your just improving your equipment but thats just my opinion. The biggest big bertha performs with any of todays over sizd drivers easily. As far as distance went I gained about 10-15 yards using the biggest over my steelhead which was ok with me but the real rewarding thing about this club was the consistant yardage I roughly drive the ball between 260-270 whenever I hit the thing. Alot of people don't like the callaway shafts but I don't really see that big of a problem with them maybe a $300 fujikura speeder might add and extra 5-10 yards to a drive but for me it's not worth the money, a recommedation might be if you plan on buying a callaway driver maybe getting it in one flex higher then you would normally play. The shaft is the most important thing about a club is the clubs engine. So if you're thinking about buying a biggest big bertha you can pick one up on ebay for less then $200 USD easily pretty good for a driver that use to cost $500-$600 when it first came out. Sometime the club even sparks when it grazes some sand really cool to see. Customer Service never used it. Similar Products Used: callaway warbird, steelhead plus, great big bertha, hawkeye VFT. |

Mizuno Blue Rage
Great Driver, It took me a while to get used to it, but it''s working great for me now. Got about 15-20 more yards over my previous driver. (Biggest Big Bertha) This driver is very forgiving, mis-hits go pretty far and when you hit it in the screws, look out, just make sure the group in front of you is well gone. The Blue Rage sets up nicely and is just beautiful to look at. Another great product from Mizuno. |

This is a DRIVER ! With the Penley Stealth 70 shaft, drives are long and straight. Real long. My GBB with the stock BBUL shaft was a steady, dependable driver, but the BBB 8* is 30+ yards longer. A good, easy swing gives me consistently 280 - 300 yards, routinely. I''m not sure how much of this gain comes from the head, and how much from the superior shaft, but the combo is the BOMB. Just don''t try to muscle it....a smooth, moderate swing will give you all the distance and accuracy you desire. Similar Products Used: GBB 8* BBUL-F |

A terrific club. I had the 9/regular flex. I gained an extra 20 yds over my older GBB, and much more accurate. The feedback, both in the feel and sound really give you confidence. It''s unfortunate that they are not making this model anymore, as mine was stolen. I was considering the Hawkeye VFT, but the reviews on that driver are mixed at best. Hopefully I can come across a used BBB. I''ve tried other drivers, Taylor MadeTi (Fair), GBB (good), ERCII(hated it), King Cobra(fair), but none had the responsiveness and feedback of the BBB. |

Strength:
None
Weakness:
None Original BBUL shaft had too much torque and really long (46 inches). So I cut it down to 44-inches which increased the stiffness a bit, and I was controlling the club a lot better. Then later I replaced the shaft with Grafalloy''s new Prolite Elite. Wow ! The high flex-point gives my drives a much lower trajectory although the BBB is 11*. Now, my drives are straight, low and long like anything. The BBB is a very forgiving and powerful head and coupled with the Prolite, it''s a great driver. Customer Service Callaway service is crap. They don''t even bother to reply your e-mail enquiries. It''s amazing how they can produce such wonderful clubs and have a customer service level that sucks so bad.
