ERC II 9*
I've hit all the callaway drivers on a demoday. The ERC II was the best for me. I recently bought a 9* model and this gives me control and distance. I can advice anyone who wants to hit great shots to buy this club. Customer Service Good Similar Products Used: VFT, GBB II, SHD III |

Callaway Big Beretha ERC II (9 degree)
I tried this out on the driving range just out of a recommendation from the pro. On my 1st hit, i knocked the ball out of the back of the range; well over 300 yards. I purchased the immediately and now regularly drive it over 340 yards: 40+ yards over my old club. The trajectory is good too, not too low and not too high, perfect for a good roll. Its a fantastic club however i do find that mis-hits are a little unforgiving. I also found that the shaft was too whippy so had to replace that, even so, i would certainly reccommend this to anyone who wants extra distance Similar Products Used: Lynx Black Cat Titanium, Mizuno T3 Titanium |

OK. I've got a definitive review on this product. I wrote the last posting. I did manage to blast a few on the course, three drives at 260+. The trajectory is low, the club is set at a 55 degree lie. Major distance is lost on mis hits however. They'll be straight, but only travel 190 yards. This is a great club if you can hit it in the middle so the varibale face thickness can work (illegal trampoline effect). If not hit square, it's just like any other driver. Callaway would have done better with a shorter shaft too. 46 inches is too long. Fun club, but not for me. Too inconsistent for mid to high handicappers. |

ERC II 10*
I play to an 18 handicap. Today I traded in my Cobra 350 SS offset driver for the ERC II. I hope I made the right decision. I took it out for a test at the driving range this evening. Typically with my Cobra I hit a high, towering shot (straight or draw)which carries 215 and rolls to about 225. The first five balls I hit travelled to the net on the fly at 250. I kept wanting to hit this driver (50-60 times in a row) (bad idea) so after 10-15 hits performance varied. I noticed the trajectory was much lower, about half as high as my Cobra. The trajectory was definitely straighter. The real test will be on the course. I'll be back with another review. For now, I must give it a 5 for rating and a 5 for value. Have had this club for 2 years and as my swing has improved, I can see the value of this club. I just came from an event that I won the longest drive with ERC II and Pro V1 ball combo: 333 yards, all carry (ball plugged on landing due to rain). Believe the hype - |

Two words....GREAT CLUB!!! I originally had the Great Big Bertha II but felt it was losing "pop" since i was not consistently hitting my drives well over 300yds. Heard about the ERC II and decided to give it a shot. WHOA!!! what a difference. I had previously hit greens 340+ yards away, but with little accuracy. now, i am averaging 330 off the tee(in the fairway) and have even gotten as high as 380(drove a green(365; slight dogleg left, front of green protected by water). i am now considering going in long drive competitions with this unmodified driver. I love this driver!!! Similar Products Used: Big Bertha II |

well i was playing with my dad and some of his friends one day. on the 16th hole a 380 yard par 4 with a dogleg right, i hit my drive about 290 or so which is a decent poke i think and one of my dads buddies has this erc 2 and he asks me to hit his driver. so i do and i outdrive my own club without any practice swing and with a ball with a cut in it by almost 20 yards. the ball was dead straight where as my normal ball flight is a draw. this driver is amazing and then i continued to finish the round with this driver and i hit the ball like i was downwind the whole time. anyways if you want to hit the ball straight and super long this is the club for you~! I have the 10* Driver and bought this club just 2 weeks ago. When I first took it to the range and hit my first shot with it I was disappointed. I was hitting it 280yards every time, but with loads of slice. The more I played with it though I began to hit the ball straighter and in one round I found every fairway. And I even drove the green on a 350yard par 4. I am dead pleased with this club and the more i use it, the better i hit the ball. I would recommend this club to anyone who is looking to find more fairways and hit it that 50 yards further. A great club. |

WHen i first got this about a year ago i thought wow this is great. Then recently i played with a 60 year old who had a 983k and was outdriving me. SO I started counting fariways hit....oops 4/14!!!! maybe 6 on a good day. It balloons like crazy since i have been working to speed up my swing. So now it goes 260 carry and 5 yards of roll. and very easy to snap hook or slice....I have a 975 l-fe I have the same ballooning problem with it but it goes extremely straight with the same swing. I got the legal cleveland launcher 400 and makes the ercII technology look like crap. Similar Products Used: 983E(balloons), 975 l-fe(balloons), si3 (too easy to snap hook), launcher 400 (woo hooo) |

I just got this club today, and my first hit on the range was amazing. It carried 250+ dead straight. The first 10 or so were about the same. Usually I only mess my swing up on the range, so of course after that I did. Later on the course, when i miss hit a ball, it wouldnt draw as much as my old Taylor Made Firesole would. On about the 5th hole I finally figured out how to hit it again. I averaged about 20 yards longer with this club. My longest hit of the day was 309 yard. Before the ERC II my long was probably no more than 285. I suggest this club to anybody, its sooo straight. oh and and long. Customer Service Haven't needed them yet, but heard they are great.
