Powersphere 400 10.5
Like previous reviewer I got one real cheap (187AUD). I got on the launch monitor and settled on the 10.5 with a UST Proforce XL stiff. I went for the 10.5 to get a better launch angle, as the 9.5 TM R5N with grafalloy blue stiff was not getting a consistent ball flight or direction. This new club/shaft combination is the best driver I've ever hit. It gets a high ball flight but stays straight and boring. I can just line up and blaze away knowing it won't get too far left or right on me. Not sure if it's longer than other drivers I've had but it's definitely up there, and it's all carry. The main advantage I get with this is confidence, the high straight flight is perfect for my home course as I can fire over trees and carry trouble. The feel of this driver is also as good as I've ever hit. I thought I'd never find a better feeling driver than the R5, but this one beats it hands down. The sweet spot is so easy to find, and the feel is solid and pure on good contact. I would reccomend this club to any player looking for consistently high, straight drives that carry forever. Get properly fitted and it will be the best driver you've hit. Similar Products Used: TM R5 (good), McGregor Eyeomatic (goes nothing but left all day), |

Burrows MAC Powersphere 421cc Driver, Aldila VV Stiff Shaft
The best club in my bag. I bought it 2 days ago when i went into a store to buy a putter! They've just taken a huge price dive in Australia, and i got it for $199!(US$265) Sometimes it helps to be a leftie. My last driver got me past 250m once or twice, this beauty got me past 250m on the second hole i played with it, and continues to land me 30-50 meters ahead of my mates. If you're like me and love to crush the ball, definitely go for the stiffer shaft. The sales guy who sold it to me recommended I try a stiffer shaft that suited my "hit it as hard as you can" type swing, and it makes a huge difference. Miss hits will no longer ruin your hole, they just bring you back to where everyone else is! Great club, if you see one somewhere, give it a rip. My only problem is i still have my old putter. Customer Service Being able to switch shafts when demoing this club is great, even if you're a weekend hack like i am, you'll notice a difference. Similar Products Used: TaylorMade |

Burrows Golf MAC Powersphere 421 Driver
I bought this club a few weeks ago and it's an absolute steal. This club retailed at RM2500.00 once and I paid the grand total of RM555.00 for it. Here in Malaysia (maybe the world over), if it's not a recognised brand and no top golfer uses it, they won't buy it. All the better for me and my wallet but I kinda feel sorry for Bruce Burrows. I also use the MAC Powersphere 3 wood and the MAC ION II putter. Good clubs they be. With the driver, I absolutely spank the ball with it and it goes over 200 metres with roll. Consider that I'm a little skinny guy. I do believe I'm going to be looking at a much lower score over 18 holes especially once I get my short game sorted out. Only thing that might put golfers off is the sound this driver makes. The 3 wood sounds nice when hit but the driver makes a really loud 'klunk' of a sound. I'm just glad I can hit it well enough. It really brings attention to you especially at a driving range. I'm happy I bought it, just wish it were a little more on the quiet side. Similar Products Used: Proline Astro Driver Ping Ti-3 |

MAC Powersphere 421cc
The fitment system is, without doubt, the best around. I went to 2 different sessions and both independently recommended the same. The problem was the price for my club was £299 ($550)from one and £329 ($600)from the other !!!!! So, i have taken my time and found one that is to my measurements and bought one on USA EBay. Cost me £85 ($155)....ALL IN !!!! - delivered from Massachusetts to LOndon in 72 hours...amazing. The Club is all I desire. LOng and very very straight. I recently bought the superb Nicklaus Airmax 430s and I have to say that club is also top-draw, but the Burrows seems a little longer. Customer Service TOO EXPENSIVE.. BURROWS GET IT SORTED ! Mac Powersphere 421cc-fujikura vista pro 50 (R) flex shaft
The Mac Powersphere has the appearance of a pure gimmick golf club, until you hit it! I stood on the driving range in pure amazement after hitting just a couple drives. All my drives were dead straight with a nice high trajectory. The drives that I intentionally tried to banana slice were nothing more than a 20 yard fade. The ones I miss-hit were still dead straight dead with good distance and trajectory. Their quick-fit system is very cool, as I tried 5 different shafts in a matter of 10 minutes. The only dislikes I have with this club is the price @ $399.99 This is a pure confidence driver, I swear you hit this club with the right shaft and you'll have it in your mind you'll never miss a fairway. |
