Bridgestone J33R 460 9.5
I have the 9.5* with prolaunch shaft and all I have to say is wow. Was hitting the Cleveland Hi-Bore for 3 months and gained about 30 yards with this club. Swing speed is 109 with the driver and a carry of 270 yards average. Make sure you are a low handicap because this club is not as forgiving as most other 460cc drivers. All and all a tremendous driver Customer Service none needed Similar Products Used: Cleveland Hi Bore;Cobra X Speed;TM R7 425;Nickent 3DX(also a great club a close second) |

J33R 8.5 w/ Speeder S
Just demoed the J33R and I HAD to get it. I have always hit the ball very high, so I opted for the 8.5*. The Speeder works very well with this driver, it feels really hot off the ball. I also really like the sound, kind of muted, not an earsplitting noise like some drivers out there. Be warned, however, because the J33R is NOT forgiving. It is easy to work though. If you have a good swing, try it out. Customer Service N/A Similar Products Used: If you can think of it, I've probably tried it. |

I'm not a fan of the Bridgestone feel. I gave this club serious consideration but in the end I was not a fan of the dead feel and sound. I understand that guys are really hitting this club far and love it, but it's not for me. Sound is an important feedback for me and this club is a dampened mute. Customer Service N/A - Though Bridgestone has the best monitoring equipment I have ever seen in my life. It's truly incredible. Similar Products Used: Every driver to be found at any demo day. |

J33R 420CC 10.5* NV 65 S
Have used a Cleveland 400 Launcher 9.5* the last 5 yrs and really liked that. Tried this Bridgestone J33R 420CC today and like it better than the Cleveland. It has a really solid feel, different from any other driver I've hit. The Cleveland sometimes has a hollow, tin sound/feel to it, but the Bridgestone is nothing like that. The distance and trajectory are really good. Went up to a 10.5 loft and that helps, my swing speed is 105 with the driver. Most amateurs would drive the ball much better with a 10.5 or 11 degree driver. There's a thinking that you'll lose distance with those higher lofts, but the truth is you'll hit it farther with the low spin, high launch drivers and balls made today. Paid $150 new on ebay. 9.5* Aldila NV 65 X
Picked up this driver a week ago for $150 brand new. It's great - good distance with a good amount of feedback compared to many of the drivers i've hit (X460, SQ, G5, FT3). Simply hit it straight or power fade. I don't try to kid myself into thinking i'm going to work a driver one way or the other - i want something that i miss one way, and that is something i do with this club/shaft combo. Wasn't a big fan of the Aldila shafts in stiff (prefer Diamana & Rombax in stiff) until trying an Aldila NV X-stiff. Never hit an X before this shaft, but it's certainly the ticket - fairly tight dispersion with a boring and flat trajectory. On the launch monitor, I average about 13.5* and 2500-3000 RPM at 165-170 ball speed. I've hit: X460, SQ, 905R, 905S, G5, R5, R7. |

Haven't hit this club, but am commenting on a certain reviewer here. Freddyc seems to have an awful lot of new drivers in his bag at one time. They all seem to also to have been the one he's looking for and will be in the bag for a long time. Could he possibly be a rep????

I bought this thing after reading the positive reviews, second hand, aldila NVS 65. Their is a resaon stuart appleby and freddy started hitting the ball further. The launch angle for faster clubhead speeds is perfect. You can fade this thing easy, draw it, hit it low. The rubber compound in the clubhead makes a solid feel at impact, I know where its going as soon as I hit it. I thought I'd never find a driver with as much control as a 983k, but this comes close, with a bonus ten metre extra carry. head shaft combo are excellent with one another. ball flight is awesome, carries for ever and rolls a lot after hitting the ground. very very solid driver, as others have stated head size is hidden well with this club. not as big as others on the market. can work ball both ways but pretty much straight for my swing which is just fine with me. |
