I hoped for great things when I took delivery of this club and but within the first half a dozen balls the bubble had burst. I'm not sure what equipment people are currently using to say that the BANG goes excessisely further than what they have. Dont get me wrong, it's is good club that hits the ball well with a good trajectory but I dont think it will take the place of my current Taylor Made driver as it doesn't have the same "solid" strike feel. I did find it to be quite a straight hitting driver but on the flip side quite hard to shape the ball with even with a soft shaft (UST Pro Force v2 65g Reg Flex). It's good value for money, it's great looking, it has a nice swing weight but I didn't find it could deliver the same distance as an identically lofted driver with a slightly smaller head (440cc). There is nothing wrong with this club, it just didn't work as well as I had hoped but I won't be parting with it!!!!!

The BOM 460 head is outstanding and with a Graffloy 2x shaft at 47in and is a very lethal combination. I started hitting 300yard drives very easily. Their is only one problem that I have had and thats keeping in in the Fairway. I have a Taylor made super quad and have lost some distance with it , but I keep it in the fairway often. Im buying another BOM 460, and I have got a tip from a Good Freind on how to keep the longer Shafted club in play. The BOM 460 is by far the longest club that I have hit.

This driver is great for distance, can consistently drive it over 300 yards, using the aldila NV-65 shaft, but the only complaint is that its hard to keep in the fairway, i have never had such a hard time keeping a ball in the fairway, my cobra X-speed 9' is a bit shorter, but almost always in the fairway. I have tried many drivers and this one is a great club for distance but not for accuracy. Hope this helps.

Incredible club. I give nothing but high praises to this weapon. It has a nice look, great feel, and produces excellent results. I have been a marginal driver of the golf ball compared to the rest of my game. I've spent alot of money purchasing drivers over the years(sometimes 3 a year). My problem was always buying clubs off the rack. I didn't really have an understanding of torque, weight, flex and their relationship with each other. I've always been an excellent iron player with S300 steel shafts. My driver would often hit sky balls that drew or faded off the fairway even though they went 270 yards. I used to hit the ball 275 & straight with steel in pre-graphite days. I thought maybe graphite just isn't for me. A friend of mine let me try his Bang-O-Matic and I drilled it repeated down the fairway with a boring ball flight. He had a XX VS339 shaft in it. I had one made for me last summer 9 degree with an Aldila NV-75 X stiff 45" shaft. I like the fact that the face is nearly square(only .25 degree closed), and the shaft is heavier(79g) with a lower torque(2.8 degree). I found out that many of my graphite shafts in the past were 3.6 torque, weighed 55g, and had significant closed faces. I went from crooked off the tee and about 270 yards to hitting 65% of the fairways near the 300 yard mark. This matches the distance that golf teachers said I should be hitting it with my 115 mph swing anyway. I dropped my scores from 78-81 to the 72-75 range overnight. The main thing is to get educated about the game and get equiptment that is suited to your game. This is a fine product indeed. I spent $230 for it so it wasn't cheap, but ultimately worth it because I've paid $300 for things I couldn't hit for squat in the past.

This driver is everthing everyone says it is. I had one hand picked at Bang Golf that was 11 degrees, eventhough the head says 12. This head has a higher center og gravity, thus you need one more degree than you usually use. I have played many, many drivers and this is the longest by far of any I have played. This driver definetly is not the most forgiving, but if you are a decent driver of the ball you will have no problem. Penetrating ball flight and very low spin because the roll out is awesome. With the 11 degree I get a 13 degree launch angle with 2,600 rpm on the spin rate. I shafted this with the UST V2 shaft, 65 gram, in R flex. Started at D-2 swing weight and couter-balanced with 30 grams under grip. My swing speed is 96. Unless you are a real, and I mean real, big hitter you need to watch out for the deep bore. The bore depth is 21/2" and it will make your shaft play a flex stronger. Check and make sure your shaft is made for bore thru, if not make sure you blind bore the shaft to 11/2". I guarentee you will not find a longer, sweeter feeling, better looking driver than this. 2 thumbs up!

Customer Service

Customer service at Bang Golf was fantastic. Bought a head that was out of spec from a distributor and called Chris at Bang for help. He hand picked the new head and discounted a their hybrid to make me happy. You can read how awesome it is in the fairway reviews. Customer service was top notch. Two thumbs up!

Model Reviewed: Bang O Matic 14,10.5 and 9 Drivers LH

I am a leftie and I wanted a top quality Driver Head with a wide range of lofts (In this case 4 deg to 18 deg!!!). I made up a 14 deg driver 2 years ago and now have 3 drivers. I have a 100 - 105 mph swing and have fitted the Accuflex Assassin II shaft. Stiff flex and spine aligned. I have to ship the components from the US to the UK, but the price is still very good.

I chose Bang-O-Matics because they had won the World Long Drive Champs 3 times in a row. My reasoning is why buy a Ford when the Ferrari costs the same. Overall I am delighted. Superbly made and finished. The Heads look small for a 460 head. The feel of the ball strike is good and the distance is amazing.

I have tried all sorts of clubs down the range and some are nearly as good but nothing is better.

I have 2 drivers in my bag. I need the 14 deg to carry tall trees on dog leg holes on my home course, this is a great club downwind and keeps me in play on my off days. I also take the 10.5 or the 9 depending how well I'm playing, gound conditons, wind etc.

One last point I loose less balls with these Drivers than anything else I've used. My handicap has fallen from 17 to 13 and I've actually won competitions on the way.

Model Reviewed: Bang-O-Matic 7.5* Driver

Before I owned this club all I did was swing out of my shoes with my Callaway Hawkeye VFT driver just to get it out there 260 yards. I put a Grafalloy Blue x-flex in the Bang-O-Matic when I got it and didn't see a lot of immediate results. Then I started to tee the ball up really high and now I can honestly say I can get it out there 275-300 yards consistently. I don't swing as hard and the ball carries much farther than my Callaway. It just took a season of golf and a higher tee to start to see real results.

Customer Service

I haven't needed them but I am hitting Bang Mellow Yellow 3 and 5 woods.

I have been looking for this club for over 30 years. I am a high ball hitter and with the 4.5 degree I hit it lower and longer.I now carry two drivers in the bag, the Bang-O-Matic for the left to right holes and my Ping G2 for the right to left holes. This club is so easy to hit. Just tee it up and swing away. It also has such a great sound when you hit it.My guys I play golf with are sorry I ever fond this club !!!!

I had been playing the 460 & 400 King Cobra. I found I have more manipulation of my swing and more control of the ball on all pars ecspecially the par 4 doglegs, not to mention this club is putting the ball down low and giving me about 40+ more yards of air time not to mention the role. I'm playing with a grafalloy prolaunch blue 75g w/ 43" from the hozel. With a swing speed of 98mph and 75g x-stiff........average 345 yds.

This is an amazing golf club! I hit the ball long-average 310-315 yards and a few longer depending on where I'm playing (ie-Colorado-WOW it is a cannon). The sound is a real steroid booster and it is straight (assuming your swing is too). I find that the ball is movable, fade and draws are no problem. If your looking to save half the name brand price and looking to improve your distance, then you will not believe the beauty of this weapon. Try it- at $200 more or less, its well worth it.
