big bang
I've used the Big Bang for the past 5 years. It is by far the best driver I've ever hit. I have a 47" accuflex stiff shaft on it. With a slight fade I average around 300 yds, if I get my club head around on time 340-360. Recently while unloading in a scramble I cracked the head. My game is lost without it, my friend had an r9, I was lucky to hit 280. I see posts all the time about clubs adding 10 or 15 yds to a drive. This one added 50. I am now on a desperate hunt to find another with maybe an x stiff shaft, and maybe a little better quality. Best driver made, period. |

I've tried other driver heads but the Bang Big Bang 450 w/ a 45 inch Stiff Penley Stealth is always longer or at the same distance (280-300 yds). So why switch? I hit it either straight or with a slight fade. I'm starting to experiment with a SMT 455 deep bore, but need to tinker with it to hit it as long as people claim...right now it feels like a marshmellow. The ball shoots off the Big Bang. I'll keep this driver in my bag until I'm convinced other wise. Customer Service Always helpful with suggestions. Similar Products Used: Ping Raptor, Cobra, Calloway |

I was looking for an affordable alternative to the $300+ Pings and Mizuno's found at every retailer. I also wanted to get a custom shaft of -.5". One of the detractors from Bang clubs was the inability to hit one before buying.

BIG BANG 450
Very solid head, does not feel hollow when hitting. Even miss hits explode off the face. The best thing is the loud bang when a long drive is launched. I have played with several home made models and this is my favorite. Have matched this head with a Graffoly Blue stiff shaft and is a sweet swing. Customer Service Not needed. BANG 450
I wanted to do a follow up to my previous review. I have owned many drivers since my Bang 450, and have hit many more... I missed the Bang so I ordered another 450cc head, got it for under $50 new. This time I put it on a Accra SC shaft, total length only 44" (my last one was 47"). I am convinced they made some big changes to this head. Yes the shaft is primo, but the feel is totally different, the head is still super hot, and the stick is REALLY long, but the LOUD noise is gone!! This head now has a very sweet sound to it at impact. The reduced length adds a great deal more control, and it now has it all, huge distance AND consistent control. I stole the Accra on Ebay (lightly used, $38 shipped)a shaft that normally goes for $175 to $200.... I am a really happy camper. I have been a serious club junkie, maybe I can lay off, cause this stick is the real deal. I have hit the r7, r5, G2, Cobra SZ's and SS's, Mizuno, Integra, Tsunami, Cleveland's (incl Comp), Adams, Precept, Aurora, Nike's... anything I left out? This driver is in the bag. Do yourself a favor, get the head, put it on a top shelf shaft, size it a 1/2" to 1" under your normal length and for around $100 if you shop smart, you will have a great big smile on your face for a long time. Customer Service not used, but a note... the face is made of some hot stuff, it hardly marks up! Similar Products Used: Everything except Srixon, and I will get around to that too! (Help me!) Another tip... the Bridgestone e6 ball at $25/doz is a sweeeeeet deal. |

Big Bang 450
The 450 is a solid, very long driver. It was the longest driver I'd tried until I got the Bangomatic which replaced it. At around $60 it is one of the best deals going and a cheap experiment of a driver. Note: If you are a slicer, stay away from this club. It's natural tendancy seems to be to hit it straight/fade the ball. If you want to try it anyway, consider having one hand picked with a closed face to help combat the slice. Customer Service Purchased at myostrichgolf.com and was able to have one hand picked to my specs. Similar Products Used: Bang Mellow Yellow, Bangomatic |

Big BANG 450cc
I had this head put on a MCS "Orange Crush" shaft, a very inexpensive setup... I have not had a longer hitting stick since, and regret getting rid of it..... I will be getting back into one soon, although I have just ordered a Bang-O-Matic 460cc to try out... The Big Bang is a great stick, VERY loud, and with a more high performance shaft, probably a demon... I hit mine up to 350 yards, a beast! When a controlled swing is used, it is plenty straight as well. WELL worth the price now days..... Customer Service NA Similar Products Used: Most everything, Alpha C830.2 is nice, not as long, SMT02 is nice, not as long, MAC is crap, Callaway ditto, TM so so... |

Big Bang 450
I am a long driver. I do not play golf on the course, nor do I care to. What I do like is hitting the ball as far as possible off the tee. The Big Bang does eactly that. I have a swing speed in the mid-high 130's and it lasted literally thousands of hits before the structural integrity of the club was compromised. I did eventually cave it in, but felt that I definitely got my $64 worth out of this puppy. I can consistently carry in the mid 300's with this club. I use a 6* loft at 48" USGA. The loft might be a little low for "regular" golf, but I can assure you that the higher lofts will perform equally as well. It is a fantastic club and I have yet to see an OEM club match the distance. Let me say it again if you missed it - this component retails for $64.00. Buy it, try it, and I feel confident that your days of "off the shelf" driver purchases will be over. Customer Service Even though I caved in the face I never sent the club back. After the abuse that this thing took sending it back to get a new one would be like stealing Similar Products Used: Bang-O-Matic, Integra Viktory, Bang P2, SMT Nemesis |

I have owned two Bang 450's. A 10* & 12*. I sold the 10* to a friend who is hitting the longest drives of his life. The 10* was shafted with a Bi-Matrix Rocket reg. flex. I still have the 12* which is shafted to a Aerotech 65g Powercoil reg. flex. This is a great combo that smokes my Taylor Made 580XD costing 3X as much. The finish is 1st rate and the durability has been good. I have no negative comments at all. The sound is loud, but that makes it even better. Straight, loud & long. Try one you will not be disappointed. Customer Service Have never needed. Similar Products Used: Taylor Made R5, Taylor Made 580XD, SMT Nemesis, Golfsmith Hi-Cor, Cobra 380. |
