Adams Speedline
I am 6'2" 225lbs with a swing speed between 106 and 116 (depending on how loose I am. I hit a 9 iron 150 yds and my driver between 260-290 yds. I have been looking for a new driver to replace my Mizuno MX-500 (a driver that has stayed in my bag for over a year). I typically don't care about price or brand, what ever feels the best. After testing the Callaway FT9, TM 2007 and 2009 Burner, TM Tour Burner TP, Cleveland Launcher. Not to mention I have owned Callaway ERC Fusion, Ping G5, Ben Hogan CS-5, Callaway X460 tour, and Mizuno mx-560. After all of these drivers, I hit the Adams Speedline, It is amazing how different (in a good way) this driver feels. You can feel the ball exploding off the face. It goes long, very long, straight too. I bought the 10.5 degree with the stock Graffaloy blue Axis stiff shaft. I might change the shaft bc it feels a little whippy with my swing speed, but still a great shaft. If you haven't hit this driver, just try it (don't worry people won't make fun of you for buying Adams vs Titleist or Taylormade when your blast drives 15-20 past them).

I read about this clubs perks and bought one on ebay for under $150. I have played Ping G2, Titleist 907 D1 and Titleist 909 D2 recently and this Adams club has as hot a face as any of those others. Inspires confidence at address as the others I mentioned which I beleive is half the battle. May be 5-10 yards less than the 909 D2 but have much better control with the Speedline. This is a really strong club that tends to be a bit more foregiving than those others. As always, shaft plays a major role and the Graffaloy Prolaunch Stiff is a good one. Seems to be a bit more on the Regular side than x-Stiff side opposed to the Voodo shaft which is stiffer. I believe the Prolaunch is a bit more condusive to my swing at 90 - 95 mph. Adams has produced a very good product but could have held off on the print design on the underside of the club. Otherwise Great. Great high launch club with distance. Adams did it right with this one. Got rid of my fade and gave me a little draw - WOW! |
