This was our second visit to Laurel Island and we again enjoyed our round, although the cart path restrictions due to wet conditions made it a very tiring round. The course just isn't made for trudging back and forth over soggy terrain. There is a good variety in hole appearances that make it interesting. Also, there is some nice variation in hole length so you get to use all your clubs. Undulations in the greens make ability to read greens accurately a necessity. Heavy rains the previous evening made the bunkers a real challenge. Customer Service Very good. We were promptly and courteously treated at the bag drop and in the clubhouse. Be sure to stay for lunch as they have good soup and sandwiches at reasonable prices. Similar Products Used: Grand Haven |

we played on 10/11/07, with 22 golfers.were told fee was $29,when we arrived they raised fee to $44.were told rate went up 10/1, later they said $29 rate was only for georgia and florida residents, what a rip off. Customer Service have played course 3 times before, but after being riped off, never again. |

We were extremely happy with the condition, topography and friendliness of the staff at this Davis Love course. The set of par threes is excellent and par fours are of varying length, so you are using all of your clubs. This is not a tricked up new type layout, Davis Love has designed this course to be enjoyed over and over again. Customer Service Very friendly all around. Jacksonville is very convenient and so are the Brunswick Islands |

This course had good reviews on different web sites and I was down in st simons on a golf trip so we booked a day at this club in February 2003. First let me say I did enjoy the Davis Love layout, its very scenic, but the condition of the course sucked! I don't know any other way to put it I was extremely disappointed in the course conditions. Again I would like to try the course again sometime in the later spring or summer during the growing season and give it another chance but never in the winter. The fairways were muddy and had bare spots as well as spotty greens. Our golf trip was saved however with a visit to the hampton club on st simons, there course layout and conditions were great! Maybe laurel island could take lessons from the hampton club and how to maintain your course in the cooler season, I am sure they could learn a few things. Sorry for the bad review but golfers should beware of this course in the winter Customer Service Was fine |

Very scenic course that was well maintained. Greens, fairways and tees are kept in very good shape. There a numerous holes that are set up in a links style of golf. Similar Products Used: Good practice facilities. Pro shop, starters, rangers, etc. are all very congenial folks |
