This course was a blast to play last summer. It wasn't crowded, four of us played in 3 1/2 hours, and we enjoyed the scenery and scoring the most. This course is challenging, but fun and fair. You can score well here and hit short irons into the greens even if you can drive it 220-250. It was cheap, fun, and beautiful. How a Johnny Miller course like this is hidden in Afton, WY and no one is playing it, I don't know. But I'll stop to play it every time I pass through if I have time. You should too.

This is course features 18 holes played out in a square. Up against the mountains, so some good elevation changes. You never walk further than 30 yards from green to next tee. Lots of mounding make each hole separate and distinct. Great tournament greens, basharteg was right.

This course is actually called "Star Valley View" renamed after Johnny Miller built a this course right on top of the old nine hole "Valley Vu." As mentioned, this Johnny Miller design is great. I found it to be the perfect blend of challenge and playability. Wonderful mounding and shaping, fantastic tournament greens, and great mountain views make this course a gem. If you are passing through Afton Wyoming and don't stop and play this Miller course, you're missing something special. It's a municipal course so the cost is $1.25 a hole, if you can believe it. The course is on the short side, but you have to put the ball in the right spots to score.
