With its numerous fir trees, this course is, simply, the definitive northwoods golfcourse. It is a beautiful course and is well maintained. The layout is interesting, but not overly difficult. Dave Blake, the head pro, and his staff are always courteous and helpful. If I could load this course on a flat bed semi and move it to the Chicago area, I could charge almost any greens fee and fill the course all the time. When I vacation in Hayward each year, the highlight of my trip is playing at "HG&T".
