The Links is a well-preserved 1930 Langford & Moreau treasure. This course offers some nontraditional features that might not initially appeal to everyone: imposingly deep grass-faced bunkers, a handful of blind shots, and wild green contours. But upon closer inspection, these features are what make the golf course FUN. The bunkers are deep, but strategic options are offered – wide fairways allow a safe path, and the greens definitely have better and worse places to miss. It is quite satisfying to successfully negotiate the blind shots, and they play easier than they look because the carries are minimal with plenty of fairway width beyond. Many greens have slopes and ridges that challenge and excite, qualities sadly missing from flatter modern greens. Conditions were perfect with firm fairways and greens framed by a playable rough cut buffering the long fescue. The greens are slightly slower than most courses, but the owner should be commended for choosing to preserve the original green contours; it would be a crime to tone them down simply to make them capable of supporting faster green speeds. The twilight rate is a steal and the Links is a magical place to play an evening round.

The Woodlands course is a typical cart-mandatory resort course carved out of a thickly forested site. A few holes are unique but most are bland and forgettable. Especially after the sheer thrill of the Links, the Woodlands feels claustrophobic and uninspiring.

A fantastic pair of golf courses at a bargain price. The woodlands is, in my opinion, much more fun, and beautiful to play. I believe that the green fees are in the $20 for twilight. There simply isn't a better place to play and enjoy the game of golf. No beer is allowed, crazy baptist.

Customer Service

Very high satisfaction. Practically grew up on the course and always enjoyed the people that work the club.

University Ridge back nine is the most similar to it, and is also a fantastic place to play.

Lawsonia offers two drastically different 18 hole courses. The "Links" course to the eye seems very wide open. But one miscued shot will leave you in the treacherous fescue grass that is lined by the fairways. The greens of this course are also demanding, with many undulations that one will have to conquer on their round. The "Woodlands" is heavily guarded by trees along the fairways and greens. The greens are demanding, tough pin placements make some holes a par hole and no better. Tee placements also give you the option of either iron or driver depending on how good you think you are.

Customer Service

Treat the customers with respect, and try to make it one of the most enjoyable times you have spent at a golf course

Putting green is very nice but could use a sand trap to practice in. Driving range lets you see where you are hitting it but you cannot see it land unless using a short iron.
