Shoots in the 80s
Played the Blue/Gold combo on one of those perfect NW 80 degree summer days. I have played many of the Seattle/Tacoma area courses, and I really enjoyed this. I put my driver up on all but one hole, and used a 210 yard hybrid off the tee. This course is tight, lined by tall beautiful firs, with rich green, well-kept fairways (expecially compared with many muni's). I found the green calming. Tress provide a lot of shade when hot. Water coolers thoughfully provided on holes. I also liked the fact that there was enough distance and trees between fairways that there were few errant crossover balls. The greens were relatively fast and undulating. There isn't much elevation change, and this is more of a shotmaker's course rather than bomb and wedge. It requires driving through some traffic to get to, but is a bargain, expecially at $13 during twilight hours. I'll come back. Great muni value for mid-handicappers .... high handicappers might find the tightness costs them a lot of lost balls ... low handicappers might not find it challenging enough. Customer Service Friendly. Similar Products Used: Driving range available, didn;t use. |

played on 8/14/03 and 8/19/03, both t-times in the a.m. and the weather was clear. I used two mulligans on the front nine and none on the back. Greens were fast and the beer girl was very attractive. Both enjoyable outings. (note- Mr. Brilhante is a member at Carey Lake Country Club in Ellensburg, WA. where he seasonally plays weekly) |

This is way to easy for my game. I am too good to play here. The holes are short and simple. I think I hit every green and eagled every par 5. I shot 57. Customer Service I would say the ladies have no complaints Similar Products Used: I took a #2 on Hole 12. (In the cup) |

I play here often, when the sun is out, great views of Mt. Rainier. If your game is on, you can come out with a real good score, but if you aren't on your game, plan to loose a couple of balls. I think it is a great course. Customer Service Good |

Shoot in the 90s
I played on a freezing winter day, yet the course was still pretty dry. Lipoma Firs is simple: if you drive the ball straight you can stay out of trouble. There are many trees and some scotch broom that will catch errant shots. The greens are fast, especially for a daily fee establishment. They also undualte to some degree so they can be a challenge. I concur with other reviews about the rocky conditions; do give yourself a good lie. Customer Service Everyone seemed freindly and accomodating. Liponma Firs is actually a 27 hole layout. Your golfing experience can combine any one of three different 9 hole layouts. Excellent practice facility including driving range, putting course and chipping green. Very, very rocky out of bounds. (Appears to be built on an old gravel pit.) Make it a rule as a "gimme" to reposition the ball on real grass to save your clubs. Very dry in the winter, great for off season play. Wonderful views, a bargain overall.
