This course has some fabulous views of the Columbia River and surrounding area. It is pretty. It is well watered, so, fairways and rough near the fairways are very green, but surrounding the fairways is scrub brush, desert like ground which can be tough to play out of.
Customer Service Staff seemed nice. Nothing in particular stands out. Similar Products Used: Bear Mountain Ranch, Highlander (Wenatchee). |

Please do not bother playing this course until they get things right. The new owner, has yet to improve the course, it was in terrible shape and there was no water availble for the back nine. NO jug no cart gal no nothing. It was well over ninety that day and I was pissed. For the money I could handle a sloppy course if the service was good. Not when they charge you for every drink of water on the course. Plus I had to pay for range balls. I think for a hundred bucks they can let you warm up on their bill. Take your money up the road to bear Mountain Ranch. Amazing course with great service and its the same price. Try the BMR breakfast sandwich it's amazing. |

Beautiful, beautiful golf course. However, they recently went out of business and were bought by G.E. The pro shop is now nearly empty, and the restaurant is closed for the year. The GPS systems on the carts are down, and the carts are very shaky. Mine broke down within 5 minutes. However, the course is absolutely beautiful and in great shape. The course definately suffered from overdevelopment and you will notice a strange feel when houses surround some of the greens. Customer Service Fine, but not great. Lost many employees when they went out of business. Used to be impeccable. |

Yaz, Get a life. I've played this course 7 times and of course you will have varied playing conditions. I have played Bandon Dunes 3 times and played once in horible wind and rain. That doesnt deter me to play the course again. Even courses in Hawaii have days when the wind is terrible. Go back to playing your easy, city courses....but not when its raining or windy. Wouldn't want to mess up your hair.

Horrible course. Rotten layout. Incredibly high winds no matter when you play. This was by far the worst value of any course I have played in the Western US. I've gotten far better value at courses in WA, OR, CA, AZ and NV then I did here. It's the only course that I've ever felt sorry that I played/payed for. The worst course I've played in 10 years EASILY. Aside from the staff, that was a whole lot of money and time that I'll never get back. Customer Service The only positive thing I can say about this place is the staff. Nice helpful people. |

Nice course in very good condition. Rates are too high for this course however, especially since it is out in the middle of nowhere. Customer Service ok |

Desert Canyon is a VERY GOOD golf course with great greens and turf conditions. This is a hilly "desert" style course with numerous manmade water hazards and forced carries. There are at least 3 blind tee shots and 5 blind or semi-blind green approach shots so the course will be more user friendly on the 2nd or 3rd loop. Because of the location, high above the Columbia River, the scenery is fabulous! #6 on the back nine is probably the best par 5 I have ever played! Paid $45, with GPS cart, in November. This was a bargain but the $85+/- summer price is a little high. Customer Service Good. |

I have played Desert Canyon four times now, and every time it is just as spectacular as the first. The turf conditons are unbelievable! (Thats why it ranks #2 in the country behind Agusta for conditioning) Awesome layout, though some people might not like the forced carries. #6 Desert is the longest hole in the country at 691 from the very back! Greens are always fast and true. If you play on normal rate times, you will pay $75-$85 for round, cart, range, and bag drop, but even for that price, its still a bargain compared to desert golf in Vegas or California. Customer Service From the bag drop to the pro shop to the restaurant, I have experienced nothing but top rate service every visit.
