Shoots in the 90s
I played this course in early August. There hadn't been any rain in a while and judging by the shape of the course, rain is what the superintendent relies on to keep the course watered. The tee boxes were so hard a kept breaking tees while trying to tee up the ball. But that made the greens look good. It was like putting across a worn out, paved road. One green was so bad they'd put a 5 or so inch cup in to compensate. It was so bad I decided against making the turn. Customer Service Average |

This course should be re-named to DUMPY Lake! This course is in horrible shape! The tee boxes have zero grass and the greens look like they havent been touched in a month. Weeds are all over the place. I surely will not golf there until something is done about the condition of the course. Customer Service Alright |

Stumpy Lake is primarily a local golfer's domain. The course offers wide fairways, realtively clear rough areas amoung large pines. It's an honest course with good length on the par 5's and interesting dog leg holes that demand accurate shots. Customer Service Good honest staff that make all golfers, local and summer visitors feel welcome. Down home snack bar and friendly smiles are available to all. |

Stumpy is a quiet no frills course hidden btw va beach and chesapeake. I like this course alot because I am a beginner and the course is very forgiving. The tee, greens and fairway conditions rate a 2 out of five. There are mature trees lining the fairways but they are wide with little rough. I have brought my wife out here and she enjoys herself here because of the fast wide fairways and lack of rough. I especially like the fact that the course is completely isolated from anything resembling homes, roads or civilization. Similar Products Used: None |

Played it twice. Each time was the same. Conditions were lame. There are better courses in VB, including Honey Bee which is about 5 minutes away. Similar Products Used: None |
