Shoots in the 100s
Great course with a laid back atmosphere. Greens, fairway, tee boxes all in good shape. Staff are professional with a relaxing casual attitude. One of the best values for the average golfer. If you are looking for a place to have someone clean your clubs, polish your shoes and the like - wrong place. Course is beautiful... but atmosphere is professionally casual. Customer Service Costumer service is good. Take care of yourself on loading the cart etc... but starter, marshall, proshop, and 19th hole are all well run with any help you need. Staff works well with scratch to large handicap golfers. Similar Products Used: Narrow fairways, well guarded greens (a little slow at times but well maintained), usually a pretty good pace of play although you have all talent levels playing, and just a beautiful course. Great value... I live in Montclair and chose this as my home course because the value is not even close. |

The fairways were in bad shape. No reduction in green's fee's despite having to play around all the ground crew's attempts to restore course for summer season. Bathroom had piss all over it. Clearly had not been cleaned for days.
Customer Service Our group has been playing golf together for years. We know the rules of golf, appreciate the game and treat ALL courses with respect. That's why when the marshal on 4/2/09 berated our group, and treated us like juvenile delinquents, I was very surprized and disappointed. We had strayed too far from the fairway in search of a ball - WHO on this green earth who's worth a nikle on the golf course hasn't done that??? I want to be clear here, absolutely NO HORSING around going on, and he comes out of nowhere treating us like bad little kids and reads us the riot act. We apologized immediately, and this pea-brain kept on yapping. How about a - 'hey would you guys please stay off the rough with the cart, thank you'. I mean how do you even access the fairway from the cart path - over the damned ROUGH. But the rough on the other side - Oh MY GOD that is CRIMINAL. Everyone else - Starter, Food services and pro shop was great. Similar Products Used: Many far better - with staffs who's necks aren't quite as red. Another suggestion is keeping the 'socially retarded' on your staff away from the public. Perhaps he could have been cleaning the toilets... |

Fun, well-maintained course that stays green. We played twice recently and despite a lack of rain this summer, the fairways and greens were very green. The greens have many mild slopes, which require a little forethought. Despite all the trees, the course isn't too tight. This is a great deal with little play in the late afternoon at a great price. Customer Service Friendly and available staff. |

I love this golf course. i usually shoot around par at my home course and i have never broken 80 in my first 5 attempts. However, i keep coming back. Im pretty picky on course design but this one sticks with me. Usually in pretty good condition. The course is very playable for everyone with 4 sets of tees. for you single digit handicappers out there, any score under 80 and your stealing Similar Products Used: Good snack bar and clubhouse. Great driving Range |

Over the years this course is getting better. The greens have usually been in good shape, sometimes the grass is a little long. There never seems to be weeds of bare spots on the greens or the throats aroung the greens. I played twice the first year it opened and the fairways went downhill between the two rounds. The condition of the fairways has been the achilles heel since it opened. They put in Bermuda grass (which takes a couple of years to fill in) in the fairways a couple of years ago and it has taken root. There are a couple of tough holes on the course and a couple that may not reward good shots in the middle of the fairway. The front 9 and back nine are different in the back has more hills and blind shots. This course ranks in the "Top 100 Must Play Courses" in the Middle Atlantic by Washington Golf Monthly magazine. This is a county course so the service may not be up to par with high priced upscale courses, but it is a good bargain, especially weekday afternoons. |

Where are the goats? A herd of maurading feral barnyard creaatures is all that's missing from this pasture. Fairways are as bad as the rough on most munis. The rough itself? We won't go there. Similar Products Used: Pretty good snack bar. |
