Maintenance: Well cared for grounds. Recently had several greens vandalized and already have them back in decent condition. Service: Very accomodating staff. Price: Exceptional value. Facilities and ammenities: Practice areas and on board GPS are top notch. Club house is comfortable too.

Location: Although a bit of a drive from the DC area, it is still not far off the interstate.

Lee''s Hill is a great layout that can provide enjoyment for players of all skill levels. Classic risk/reward holes are scattered through your round. Carts are usually allowed onto fairway to allow the maximum utility of onboard GPS, which displays hole layout with updated distances to hazards and targets. I coordinate my office''s golf outings and we return to Lee''s Hill each year. Although a bit of a trek (we work in Alexandria), the value and quality of course and service keep bringing us back.

This course is worth the drive. Features some of the nicest greens I've seen in Virginia...a good stroke is guaranteed to hold its line on these babies. Municipal course players who normally 'pop' their putts may find themselves chipping to save par.

Make sure to use the fringe to soften chips/pitches. Hitting the green directly may send your ball to the other end. Short of the fringe, you may be looking at another chipshot, as the rough is not likely to release.

The fairways are also immaculate and the course is scenic overall. All this plus a cool GPS system on the cart. The GPS system tells you how long your drive is, distances to bunkers and water hazards, front and back of greens. Pro tips appear online to help guide you to safety. It keeps scores as well but make sure to write down you score before you return the cart. You can even order food online so it'll be ready for you when you take the turn to the tenth.
