Many different looks. Course conditions are immaculate always. Fair test of golf. Pace of play is reasonable. Very pretty traditional course.

Few. Parallel fairways bug some folks. Could use another set of tees further up for ladies and seniors. Most par 3's and some par 4's are unreachable in one/two for the average lady golfer.

Toughest 6 starting holes in the area. Course is in the best condition of any I've played in the mid-atlantic. Fairways and greens are usually perfect. Premium placed on hitting the fairway otherwise you are in the woods or OB. Long hitters have a distinct advantage on th long par 4s.

Course condition.

Some greens are too slopes and a few holes, especially #1 and #11 need a redesign.

This is a tough golf course. I play all over the country, including some of the best courses in the country and after playing CCF I am impressed by the beauty and diversity of its holes. CCF is hilly and narrow, most holes are lined by tall trees. Fairways are rolling and you rarely have a flat lie. Greens likewise are mostly sloped with hard pin positions. All the par 3s play tough and long, and with the exception of the ninth hole there are no predictable birdies on par 5s. The first six holes are a real challenge but if you make it through without throwing too many strokes away you can earn a good score. The condition is one of the best in the DC area.

This course is way underrated. One of the premiere private clubs in Northern Virginia. Fairways are like heaven and greens can be lightning. There are a couple really long par 4's and 5's as well as some challenging par 3's. If you get the chance, play here..
