Immaculate Greens, Condensed layout, good practice facility

Poor sand, fairways and roughs get slightly brown

A well designed course with an extremely difficult back nine. Greens can be deadly if your touch is not on. The front sets up to score, but once you get to number nine, hold on. You've got a tough 10 holes ahead of you.

Good practice facility, except the range is too steep going down hill. The locker room is amazing.

Great layout, challenging greens, incredible rough and last but not least some of the most difficult approach shots to a green that i have ever seen.

Few if any. The course is a little confusing with the holes not being well numbered or a pictoral layout but considered a minor detail.

The overall course layout is simply awe-inspiring. It makes you feel as if the course blends itself seemlessly with the surrounding terrain. You will get lost somewhere between the historical heritage and the amazing staff who are always prepared for the slightest detail. A must see by any level of golfer although could be frustrating for anyone over a 15 handicap.

Greens and rough protect this Donald Ross Gem

Length - A bit short by modern standards. 6400 from the tips. Plays as a par 70 though

Greens - Can be very fast. Tough to read. Barely a flat putt to be found. Tees, fairways, and greens are immaculate. Rough is always very high. If you can keep it in the fairway and read greens you will be ok. Otherwise be prepared for a long day.
