Shoots in the 90s

My friend and I played this course on a rainy day, so to get some business, the guy at the counter said we could play all we wanted for $20 a piece. Needless to say, we got 27 in and would have gotten more in if we could have. Over all, the course was nice, but there were some things that didn't sit well (though not too major) with me.

Hole 3 has this massive up hill climb, and if you're playing for the first time, you have a hard time knowing where exactly the green is. Also, if you're too far out to make the climb in one shot, you get stuck on a hill that was hardly mowed, at least when I was there. I can't say if this is normal, but was a real pain, especially with how wet it was out.

There is a hole that requires you to hit OVER another hole. I didn't like this because I can see someone hitting a worm burner some night and clocking someone on the fairway or green below you (especailly if its off the toe).

There is a par 3, #7 I think, that was so heavily sloped that even with a low stinging iron, the ball had a hard time stopping on the green. Again, I don't know if this was normal, but with sand at the bottem of the green and the slope running right at it, it just SEEMED kind of unfair.

Dispite these things, the course played nice, the greens were well kept, and the staff was helpful. If it were closer to me, I'd play it once in a while, but I'm closer to a very nice course where they have a great twilight rate. Keep in mind what the numbers reflect, just cause it isn't a 5 doesn't mean you shouldn't try it.

Customer Service

Very good, the guy at the counter was very friendly and helpful. Didn't get to see anymore of it than that.

I guess Catamount up in burlington is similar, in that they are courses built out of a field.

I grew up 5 minutes away from this course. For the amount of play this course gets, it is a wonder there is grass left anywhere. It is a little dry in spots, but the course is always in GOOD shape, and the greens are kept up as well. Its a 9 holer that has mostly easy holes if you stay straight. If you tend to slice or hook, your score will go up quite a bit. A family course. Lenient and reasonable in price. Small town golf, everybody knows everybody, and the beer is probably cheaper than any other course. :) Keep the driver in the Bag, You don't need it.

Customer Service

Pretty Good, there is no Bev-Cart, but for what they have to work with, they do well.
