This is a traditional designed 18 hole golf course. Well maintained golf course with large mature trees aligning every hole. Some water hazards as well as a little ob. Not a real challenge. This is a fun course but is very busy and tends to play very slow. Signature hole is #4 a short dog leg left par four. This hole requires you to stand a stone and look up at a 40 foot mirror to see the blind shot fairway bellow.

This course is a good solid golf course.
NEGETIVES:
Unfortunately this course wasn't designed all that well and the front 9 is notorious for being the slowest 9 holes in Utah. #1 is a normal straight on par 4, #2 is a 180 yard par 3 over a lake that's nearly out of play unless you shank your shot, followed by a 513 yard par 5 that every golfer thinks they can get on in 2. And if that's not enough, #4 is a dog-leg par 4 drop-off that has a mirror for the golfers waiting on the tee to view in order to be sure not to hit into the golfers looking for their lost balls in front of them. If that doesn't back up play the carts will. Apparently there was a incident years back of some nut getting himself killed by a cart on the course so they adjusted the speed governors to max out at around 8 mph (fast walk). It doesn't get any slower then this.
The range doesn't have that many stations. Under 10 I think. We had a scramble tournament here a few years ago and everyone got a bucket of balls to hit. 70+ golfers fighting for 10 spots to hit from wasn't a pleasant sight.
The only other negative thing to say about this course is that the putting green is on the other side of the clubhouse from the #1 tee so you can't putt while waiting for the group in front of you to hit.
POSITIVES:
No two holes on this course are alike. Something we all enjoy. I hate it when courses try to trick you by copy and pasting holes.... "didn't I just play this hole?"
The fairways are wide, but don't think you can just whip out your spraying driver out. The trees are big and wide at Davis Park. Once you get in them...it's wise to take the smart play out. Or you'll be looking at trip-bogeys on your card if not double digits.
The course is always in good shape and haven't experienced a problem with 'hard greens'. I noticed that last year they were moving the 10th green closer to the trees. Can't wait to get out and play it.
I've shot some good rounds here including a 76 with the help of an Eagle on the par 5 3rd hole I was mentioning before.
It's a fairly short course that makes up for it with trees in play on every hole, sand on every hole except the 15th and not too much water.
The price to play might be a little high. $38 on weekends $34 on weekdays, but as long as it stays there you won't hear too many complaints.

Hard greens, play can become slow if crowded.

My original course. I lived East of the highway for over 27 years and have played more rounds on this course than all others combined. One of my favorite! It really is a good place to learn. The fairways are wide and forgiving. An errant tee shot is not too tough to recover from (most of the time). One of the notorious quirks of this course is the hard greens. Don't plan on sticking too many. Pretend like you're going for a cement pad instead of a green. Because they are so hard, they are also relatively fast.

Well kept...plenty of great shots for well placed drives. Target golfers will enjoy this course as well as duffers. Hazards are meant to enhance strategy not looks. Great for cart play, but can be walked very easily. Greens are always in great shape. $15.50 for 9 holes and a cart.

Driving range uses artifical mats...very small putting course, not much for practicing.

Beautifully kept course with a gorgeous mountain backdrop. The fairways are pretty wide, but the trees will come into play if you are too far outside. Hole 15 is a difficult 4-par down to the fairway from the tee-box and back up to the green. A poorly hit ball with a slice will give you a nasty shot uphill to the green from the trees...a bad hook off the tee will send your ball for a swim. This hole is tough, but definitely worth it. Great course for beginners to pros.

Easy to rent clubs for out of town guests. The clubhouse is being renovated right now, but has always been clean and a great place to rest or eat between rounds.

hmmmmmm well not much to say here,....i was just pissed about the 7 and the 8 on my card,.......only blame myself.

i was excited to play here since i had not played the course looks very nice from first impressions and the practice areas are great !!.......very mature course....and fairly standard layout......trees come into play on this course if you miss the fairway you have a good chance to be in a tree well,.......i was thinking this track would be a little more spectacular layout.......i was only able to play nine but some fun holes,......i was a bit soured buy a couple bad scores that ruined my round i dropped 7 strokes in two holes .....uhhhhhhhh......so 48 was a bit dissappointing ,........greens were nice and well kept and so were the boxes,.......i think the front has 2 signature holes # 4 and 5 .......4 is a short quick dogleg left,...with a blind tee shot,.........5 is a downhill semishort 4 but look neat from the tee.......not a whole lot of trouble to deal with i would like to go back for 18,.....to get a real feel for this track.
