Shoots in the 80s
Played in summer of 2011, in midst of Texas heatwave. Record 40+ days in a row over a hundred degrees. Despite the heat we had a great time. The sound of bagpipes playing from the clubhouse added to the atmosphere. Driving in, we were immediately impressed. The greens and fairways looked to be in great shape. the staff was great, friendly and helpful. The starter was helpful giving us hints on where not to go and gave us a brief history of the course. The bentgrass greens were fabulous, in spite of the heat. The cartgirl was cute & friendly but we only saw her once on the back nine (when it really started heating up). It was pricey ($129 for me on weekend, $84 for my son who plays on the high schoolteam), but worth splurging for once in a while. If not for the high cost would give a 5. Definitely buy a yardage book for hints throughout the round, and as a nice souvenir. Customer Service Friendly & helpful, but should be for the price we paid Similar Products Used: Tour 18 courses in Dallas and Houston. This was by far the best of the 3. |

BEST COURSE IN DFW!!! This course is amazing, and Golf Digest actually ranked it in the Top 100 Public Courses in the U.S. in their May '07 issue.
Customer Service Great staff! Friendly and courteous. This is cheesy, but the starter was actually from Scotland as well. Similar Products Used: Tour 18, Doral Tesoro, TPC Craig Ranch, Sherrill Park, Fossil Creek, Chester W. Ditto, etc. |
