This is my home base course. I live between Comfort and Welfare. No pun intended. This is a great course for a public Hill Country Course. I gotta set the record straight. The smell is from a sewage treatment plant for the city of Comfort that is located just Southwest of the course. It isn't the water they use for the course that smells. So, feel safe in any standing water! The smell is only apparent on a few holes and on some days not noticed at all. The course itself is above par for other public courses in the same price range. Well maintained in the last two years.

Customer Service

The staff there is great. I have just sat and had a few beers on the back porch and had fun watching other golfers on the driving range.

The pace of the course if great and by that I mean fast. Rarely will you get into a game that goes over 4 hours.

Overall this is a decent course they have increased the rates which makes it not worth the price to play it.The golf course makes u play a variety of different shots which i like. The smell is the most negative part about playing here except for the price. The reclaimed water makes this course reek when there is any type of wind

A great trip. Windy as hell that day, but with wide open fairways it turned out nice. This course uses "re-claimed" water. Basically it's turd water so the whole freaking course smelled like sloppy bungholes.

Customer Service

Outstanding. They have to be though. Otherwise who would pay to play in turd water. I wouldn't even go near my ball if it was in a damp area. All I could think about was dung water flying all over me when I swung. Can you imagine? A big turd divot flying in the air and landing on your buddys face. GROSS!

This course is a little out of the way, but worth the 40 min. drive from San Antonio. The course is fairly flat and wide with large greens.

Customer Service

Very nice.
