Challenging layout. Good combination of long par 5''s (tough to reach in 2), and short par 4''s with bunkers and/or water to challenge your accuracy off the tee.

Bunkers are terrible at the moment (Aug ''01). Fairways tired and pock-marked. Can play very slowly if you get stuck behind the wrong group or at wrong time of day. Get an early tee time to get around in 4 - 4.5 hours.

I''ve been playing Bent Tree since I moved to Columbus 4 years ago and took up golf, so I can speak from the perspective of hacker (then) to mid-80''s hacker (now). There is something in this course for everyone, long hitters and target golfers. It''s on the expensive side to play on weekends or without a discount card of some sort, particularly since the bunkers are terrible at the moment (gravel pits) and the fairways show clear evidence of a lot of play (and people not fixing divots). Certainly a very solid course though and definitely worth playing more than once.
