I'm probably a little biased because it's my local, after-work course, and it's easy to head over there at 4:30 and get on as a single to walk 9 holes before dark.

Fun, easy, par 72 course. Most of the fairways are easy to see and playable, but there are a couple of challenging doglegs as well. Greens are well kept and can be challenging. Not too much water, tall grass, or fairway bunkers. This course doesn't eat a lot of balls, but the placement of trees can pose some unique challenges if you hit goes awry off the tee.

Great place to work on your game. Advanced players will probably find this course somewhat boring unless you are looking for a cheap round to try new things or to hammer out some aspect of your game. Blue tees add distance to the course, but not much else in terms of hitting challenges.

Friendly staff. Clean restrooms. Snack shack has tasty brats and Schmitt's Sausages.

The design is very nice, the layout and location are sufficient to let you forget you are playing a muni course. And the prices are outstanding ($30 for 18, walking, $12 after 6 PM for as many holes as you can get in!) as of July 2003.

Like any good muni course, it gets a lot of play, and it shows. The practice green is good, but the range is very substandard--irons only, and like hitting off of granite.

Excellent Muni course designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. This is a very playable course, and one that shouldn't particularly tax the above-average golfer. Good shots here won't get you into trouble. Well placed bunkers create occasional challenges, and the greens (though perhaps a bit hairy) are nicely contoured and make you think a bit.

Customer Service

Friendly by muni standards--you won't get the treatment that you'll get at an upscale public 'golf club', but you shouldn't expect to. Clubhouse is decent, with a usable locker room, a decent proshop, and a workable snack bar.
