Mt. Mitchell Golf Course

Beautiful course!! Very scenic and in great shape (mid Oct). Greens were fairly slow. A few tight fairways, but overall, even the semi-duffers can enjoy this course. Only complaint was the cart-path only rule--considering the elevation changes, expect a lot of hiking if your lie is not near the cart-path.

For 50 dollars you cant beat Reems Creek. Bent grass from tee to green and in great shape. Not very long so dont be scared to play the back tees. The course gets tougher around the greens so short game is a premium. Not sure if the other reviewer played the back tees but would have to see the two par fives hit with 8 and 9 iron? If your in the Western North Carolina dont waste your time with other tracks , play Reems Creek.

Nice course. A little too short. Driver sand wedge all day, easily reachable par 5s. Greens are a bit tricky. As far as mountain golf goes, you don't get terribly punished for hitting the ball offline. Butchered the front with a 39 and shot 31 on the back. However, two eagles helped--par fives where I hit driver 9 iron and driver 8 iron. Overall though, a fun track, I'd definitely come back. Great scenery. If you're playing well you can definitely go low and have a nice time. Recommended.
