A new challenge on every hole. Greens are not perfect, but in great shape. Fairways always nice.

Long par 3's and 5's. Nice greens.

No full service facilities yet, but they were breaking ground on the clubhouse the day I played.

The course was in excellent shape. Probably the best challenge in charlotte. Undulating fairways and little room for error around the greens.

The fairways are sloped - everywhere. Not jury rigged but no easy shots (except holes 1-3). Greens are great for a three year old course. Great vistas, homes are subtle.

Sand traps need some work. There are still a number of homes being built so some of the cart paths are rough, but little else.

Firethorne is a must play for folks who like a challenge (note do not take high handicappers or customers who you want to close). It is not a long course but requires several long tee shots (4,6,9,10,13,16) and can be tight. If you miss the fairway/roughs and it trickles intot the woods - it is gone. The good news is it is fun.
