Shoot in the 80s

A pleasant, interesting and enjoyable golf course. The firm fairways provide plenty of roll. A surprisingly short, yet challenging layout with at least two reachable par 4's if you typically drive 260 or so and for those who know where to direct their tee shots. We played from the blue tees. I was fortunate to play this course (for the first time) with local resident and member, Mack Harris, who provided me helpful guidance off the tees. I expected to see a flat land layout with several fairways viewable side by side, but was pleasantly surprised to find that the course design and natural terrain provided relative seclusion from tee to green on nearly all the holes. The course was well maintained and there are ample hazards throughout, though not particularly difficult to avoid if your game is on. The greens are Bermuda and were in better shape and felt a tad faster than most Bermuda greens I've played in this area. The water hazards, and two "longish" par 3's make this relatively short course challenging, particularly if the pins are placed in difficult locations on the mildly undulating greens. The shortest par 3, 127 yard #15, is one of the more challenging par 3 greens to hit when the pin is tucked left rear, as it was on the day we played.
