Shoots in the 80s
A relatively cheap round of golf, but not worth the price to drive down to Lillington to play. Lots of cigarette butts and beer cans. No bunkers. The greens looked okay, but the tee boxes looked like cattle graze on them. Customer Service Not much service. |

Dishearten comments from the previous review. I say this, for $15 for 27 holes of golf what do you expect? I play this course for what it is and like it. The greens are soft...even in the summer. And the fairways are excellent on most holes but in places on top of hills can be arid. I will admit its not Pinehurst #2; however, it is enjoyable to play. What could be done to make the course more enjoyable is to cut the limbs over the tee boxes, especially on #2. I play tips and must punch low shots to avoid limbs over the front tees.

When I walked up to the first tee box, I actually walked across the practice green and didn't notice. If there weren't any tee markers or pins on the course, it would be impossible to tell that you were on a golf course. Especially on the front side where the fairways are roughly the width of North Carolina, and the greens are barren. Hands down, this course has the worst greens in the state, but the layout of the back side was very good, and the $15 weekend price was nice. Customer Service Great.
