Shoots in the 70s
Overall, this course is an excellent value. The turtle-back greens are relatively smooth with only a few "mystery breaks" at times. Grass is growing in the fairways (as opposed to weeds), and sand fills the bunkers (as opposed to dirt or garbage). The first few holes on this golf course are pretty cool, but after that, the course begins to deteriorate. The opening hole is a downhill par 5 with a generous landing area and a pond that one can easily clear on the second shot. #3 is the signature hole. This 175-yard par 3 is downhill over water to a small green. Pretty to look at, but a tough target to hit. #6 is where this course begins to show its uniqueness (not to be mistaken for character or charm). This 320-yard par 4 goes 90 degrees to the right almost immediately after the red tees. You'd better pull out your 90-yard slice 3-wood if you want to put it in the fairway. Otherwise try a 7-iron over the trees. Then we have #8, a 430-yard par 5 dogleg left. Again, hit 7-iron off the tee or perhaps a duck hook driver. Anything straight and long will be through the fairway and in the trees. Now for the back 9. #10 is a 310-yard par 4 with two ponds in the middle of the fairway. Hitting 5-iron, wedge reduces this hole to the pathetic status that it deserves. #12 is a fairly noteworthy hole -- long, pond in front of the green -- it's a good hole. The rest of the back side is a lot of back and forth. Every hole is like deja vu. Customer Service Excellent. Similar Products Used: Pool table in the clubhouse is nice in the event of rain. |
